Funny now to read these posts from so many here who are drawing hard conclusions while knowing very little.

I happen to have a son who is the same age as Christian. As such, they have known each other for many years and have many friends in common. Here is what I can tell you with massive certainty:

- The Phoenix Open is a big deal, ONLY because it was a major wake-up call for Christian. He now knows that he can never, ever let his guard down. He and Carter are like brothers, however, they both got lazy and stupid... and, thankfully, the situation wasn’t any worse. It sucks.. but it’s a perfect teaching moment for an otherwise high-quality kid.
Christian comes from a rock-solid family. His mothers’ comments are completely understandable, though not advisable.
Anyway, nobody was harmed and we can all rest comfortably knowing that Mike B., Keim and Wilks new precisely what type of person they were getting with Christian. And as fans, that should seriously excite us!

I did some ******* things during my early 20’s...even earned myself an overnight stay in jail. I’ve grown up since then, started a family, now hold an administrative position at a large corporation. People make mistakes and you either learn from them and become a better person or you don’t. Hopefully Christian does

I'm confused, where is the confirmation he actually did throw rocks at the car? Last I read was the "witness" did not actually see it happen and the only thing we know for sure was that he was drunk while at the Phoenix Open. There are a lot of conclusions being jumped to in the thread.

If the descriptions are accurate, that’s a good description of someone coked up, not drunk. Particularly the jaw grinding.

It's probably Molly dude. Molly makes you grind your teeth and is probably more likely to be used at club-like environment.

The disconcerting part is the possibility of "drug use". Now if he did use at the Open, was this his first dalliance in the use or does he frequent the use? The rock throwing part will be of minor consequence to the league/cards. The other aspect is a major concern.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anyone on Molly first hand. So I’ll take your word.

But though open is a party it’s not exactly a club like scenario. Unless at the nest (does that even still exist?).

Molly does that too, but man, I’ve done both a decent amount of times and I could see throwing a rock through a window happening while agro on blow, but Molly? Seems a little weird unless it’s just super speedy stuff.

There's been no confirmation of any drug involvement. Kirk has never been known to toy around with drugs...like never. Unless there is some official report that confirms he had used something, I believe it's a very safe assumption that he did not. And that this was merely an important and inconsequential teaching moment for Christian.

Some of the earlier posts on here had him tried & convicted. Some were calling for Keim's head & saying what a wasted draft pick. The kid has never had any off field issues before & by all reports a model citizen. Can't believe how fast some were to chastise him & the pick.

Yep. I posted earlier that my son graduated high school the same year as Christian here in Scottsdale. They know each other and have a ton of friends in common, including Carter. I can't vouch for Carter as he has had some instances in his past (nothing serious), but Christian has never been in trouble. And he is greatly admired among his Scottsdale peers, for being incredible focused and responsible at all times. He comes from a rock-solid family so the foundation has always been in place. It was always a question of, will his incredibly talent ever develop enough to make him a legit NFL-caliber talent. Well, needless to say, his talent has indeed developed to get him to a 2nd round selection with loads of lofty predictions now beginning to fly around since the first day he stepped onto the Cards training field!
I'm always amazed at how quickly "fans" are inclined to hang a guy and question the scouting capabilities of professionals who get paid lots of money to weed out bad apples.
Anyway, I have ZERO doubt that Christian will prove the type of person he has always been...And I'm excited about his prospects of being a star on the field as well!

Well, just from what I read on here (copy of the police report, I think), and there being no other evidence saying otherwise, I would vote guilty if I was on the jury of the two of them throwing the rocks.

Good. Now we can all move on.

Yep. He did it, paid restitution, and got the charges dropped.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The charges against Christian Kirk, stemming from his February arrest in Scottsdale, have been dropped, city prosecutor Karen Close confirmed Wednesday.

According to Close, the charges were dropped after the Arizona Cardinals' second-round draft pick paid restitution. In other words, he paid for damages.

Still, does not really mean he did it but for him it's the smart thing to do regardless because him paying did put an end to the story... and throwing rocks at car is not exactly a major offense to admit to (can you imagine a bunch of guys in prison trying to see how tough each other are, and some guy goes 'well, I threw some rocks at cars'), but it's the impression of a lingering story which he can do without whether he did it or not
