Per Gambo at #16... regarding drafting a PG, between Brunson or Holiday, the Suns value winning more.

This would seem Brunson would be the choice if they go PG between the two.

I don't think the Suns draft either at #16.
But he says he does not think they are taking a pg at 16. They need a shooter.

wait... they can't draft Brunson at 16. That's just WAYYYY TOO much of a reach for a guy that's likely going to be there at 31. If you like him that much, move back up from 31, but at 16? That feels like an Ennis pick again.

Neither should be a candidate at #16.

Gambo started off by talking about #16 then ran off a whole list of players then compared Brunson to Holiday.

Less of a reach than Holliday if you ask me - but yeah, still probably not a good idea.

Gambo went all over the place for awhile. Seems like Huerter and Donte are under strong consideration at #16.

ON THE CLOCK!!! I can't believe we're picking #1. Can't wait until Ayton is a Sun, officially.

“With the #1 pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select Deandre Ayton from the University of Arizona.”

I wish the NBA would have invited David Stern back to read the announcement. That would have sounded so sweet. Close your eyes and you can hear it. :)

As the Suns start their second half-century, it is a new beginning! A brand new image! A new hope! Phoenix rising from the ashes.

Thanks to the tank brigade. It was painful, but it happened. I would probably even smile at Robert Sarver’s foam finger. Well, maybe not.

On a personal note, I’ll be leaving on vacation to Santa Barbara tomorrow morning and won’t have much time to go online. When I get back late next Tuesday, I will have to Mark Forum Read and miss the thousands of joyous posts here.

Enjoy the feeling, friends! Christmas has arrived early. At long last, the Suns will be relevant in the NBA. The memorial for only Wing and Guard oriented stars will be held at the Madhouse on Jefferson preceding our first game of the 2019 playoffs.

Expect the best. Plan for the best. Achieve the best.

So glad to hear Ayton's name. I was a little worried because I didn't think Doncic was going to be at the draft. When I saw him I thought there might be something to his appearance. Thankfully we stuck with the plan, picked Ayton, and can breath a sigh of relief.
