The NBA draft is today, with the Suns picking at #1, #16, #31, and #59. Draft coverage will be on all day on ESPN and NBA TV but the actual draft itself will start on ESPN at 4:00 PM Pacific.

Thought I'd get a thread going for live draft discussion once it gets rolling. The draft countdown show will go over the basics but they'll probably talk about some trades being made also.

Sources are pointing towards Ayton being the #1 pick and Bagley going to the Kings at #2.

Watching ATH. Knicks trying to move up for Bamba. He doesn’t want to go to Memphis.

I'm watching NBA TV for pre-draft coverage. The coverage thus far has been excellent. I guess I will keep watching when the draft begins.

Per Gambo the Suns are at least considering Huerter.

I really don't get players hating on Memphis so much. They've been a decent franchise the last decade, they've got a pretty solid fanbase and the city is actually a blast. Incredible live music, amazing food, some southern belles running round to chase. Not sure what more a young kid could ask for. It's a surprisingly kick ass city.

Watching video on Doncic. What stands out beyond his skills is his passion for the game. This will carry him far.

Now they are interviewing him live in NY.

I'd think Memphis would be a preferred destination for a draft pick. There is so much to like there.

Gambo is right though. Doncic is stuck up and aloof in the locker room. Several people have mentioned now.

no f'n way. not buying that can happen... especially without giving up JJ. and I'll be honest... I'm much better with JJ with that duo. The alternative is a world where ALL of our big 3 struggle on D (including Ayton).

if true, that's a big red flag for me. Don't need that in a young group of guys, all of which between JJ, Book and Ayton seem to have great attitudes, none of them with attitude concerns.

Chris Sheridan is a joke. Dude has no sources and is a fringe sports writer.

Before this tweet he tweeted

One of the ESPN guys in their mock draft, discussing why the Suns should draft Ayton said his humor and likability are a big selling point. Then he said, "He is not like Luka who you have to know for five years before he will talk to you."

Chris Sheridan is an idiot, the fact he includes len in the tweet means he has 0 credibility.

I'm more interested in givony just tweeting porter as slipping to to 12 in his current mock. I'm giving up a lot of our future picks to Charlotte to move up if that is true.

Sheridan is a long-time NBA guy. Pretty well respected.

No he is not

He wrote for si or something years ago and now he is working for some obscure company

Sheridan is as fringe as it gets, 0% credibility

Chris Sheridan = Steve Kyler

Ignore everything they say

If this draft class projects as expected, the big man is coming back.

Yes, if Porter or Trae Young is at 12, we need to do whatever it takes to move up within reason

If porter is healthy he is an all star, Young is the only other person on earth that can shoot like curry.

I have no idea why Young would be falling, but if he is Suns have to get him.

One of my favorite annual traditions...The NBA Draft Stage Height Eye Test!

I remember seeing Porzingis standing next to Okafor and Towns and putting his height into perspective for the first time.

First looks are promising for Ayton. :)
