The #SFGiantswith an impressive 3-game sweep in Atlanta, now are 19-15, despite rash of injuries and just eight starts from Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija and Madison Bumgarner.

Why is that impressive? The have the highest payroll in the NL and 2nd in MLB

What the DBacks have done is impressive.

He has been, to a large degree. Instead of him starting 3 out of every 5 games with Mathis catching Greinke and Murphy against lefties . . .

Murphy is sort of our lead Catcher, starting 2 or 3 of every 5 games.

Now that Goldy has figured it out at-bat, it puts pressure on Avila to do the same. I suppose the D-backs are going to give him the rest of the season to do so.
