Did you really think Lebron was going to lose game 7 against Al Horford and Jason Tatum lol

I'm afraid it's going to be the same old Finals.

I think the Cavs win anyways but those 2 fouls on Tatum late were just horrible superstar calls. One actually cost leBron a point since he made the shot but they didn't count it and he missed a FT, but neither one of those was a foul.

There was a ton of talk about Ben Simmons and Donovan Mitchell this year, rightfully so, but Jayson Tatum deserves to be mentioned with those 2. Brad Stevens is a huge part of the Celtics success, but Tatum deserves a lot of credit for stepping up like he did without Hayward or Kyrie. A lot of people wrote the Celtics off when Hayward got hurt and then did it again when Kyrie had surgery. Tatum stepped up each time and helped fill in for those guys on the offensive end and was a better defender than projected as well.

Tatum led the Celtics in scoring throughout their playoff run. I know some people liked Tatum in the last draft while some weren't sold on him. I don't think anyone envisioned he'd lead his team to the Eastern Conference Finals and 1 win from the Finals. He'll be a great scorer for years to come.

That was a legacy-enhancing game for LeBron. No Love, garbage teammates, bad coaching, in a hostile environment, and playing a very well-coached team; but still willed his team to the Finals.

He's been terrific all year for them. I was completely wrong about him, much better player than I expected him to be this quickly.

Offensively his teammates may have been garbage, but they don't win this game if the team defense wasn't as good as it was. You don't hold a team like Boston to 79 points without good team defense.

Boston missed a ton of uncontested 3s in that game. There were few memorable defensive moments for Cleveland, even with LeBron and his switches. If Boston hits those, the game is far different.

This feels like nothing but Haterade.

I don’t know how anyone can watch what LeBron’s doing on both ends of the court, willing an awful team singlehanded to the Finals, and think it’s boring.

It's not about LeBron, it's watching yet another Cavs vs Warriors finals. I'd like to see some fresh faces. Not LeBron’s mug. Also I never doubted that the Cavs (Brons) would make it out of the east. It always happens. Just my opinion.

Practically that enitire Cavs team is fresh faces. That team was horrible before the deadline and looked like they were headed to the lottery.

Cavs are better without Love no matter what statistic you bring up in regards to Love.

What if I.T ends up being The Beard v. The King? I’m with ya on Bron v. Warriors because that series is over before it even starts. But if Chris Paul can’t come back, I think you’re looking at a pretty even series, Mano y Mano showdown between LeBron and Harden.

Well lets hope the Rockets pull it off to all those wanting fresh faces. CP3 better shoot something in that hammy and get out there lol

Same people that probably loved watching Jordan dominate. I just see it as hating but thats fine. Just call it like it is.

Plus you can blame KD for the "same ol' finals" not LBJ. Not his fault nobody can beat him even when he has the weakest team in the playoffs

I'm sure some of it is "hating" but that's what happens when the media inundates us with this "all Lebron, all the time" stuff. It isn't Lebron's fault but I'd just as soon never watch another James game. And I was never a big Jordan fan, I preferred his highlights over watching an actual Bulls game.

Outside of the Suns and a few former Suns players, the only must watch NBA player for me has always been Magic Johnson. Even when he was beating us, he was a joy to watch play the game. But sports TV and sports media are completely different today, I wonder if I'd reach Magic overdose levels if he were in his prime today as I have with Lebron?

:yeahthat:

Well said.

Mind you I'm also "hating" Steph and KD. Cavs vs Rockets is way more interesting than seeing the smug Warriors again. Only Warriors I like are Livingston and Barbosa, and kind of Kerr. He's funny.

I don't understand when people say stuff like this. We're watching one of the all-time greats, maybe second greatest, in their prime. How can you not appreciate seeing basketball played at such a high level? We probably won't see a player like James ever again. It's a privilege to watch Lebron in my opinion, just like Jordan. If you don't watch these players, I think you're doing yourself a disservice.

I don't think that's true. This'll be the 4th consecutive finals with them, if it happens. It becomes like a division game, throw out the records.
