CF Corbin Carroll returned to action for ⁦‪@HillsboroHops‬⁩ on Sunday and was 2-5 yesterday with a double. He's hitting .299/.409/.487 on the year. SS Liover Peguero was 2-4 and OF Dominic Canzone hit his 3rd home run for the Hops. #DbacksMinors

CF Wilderd Patino was 3-4 for ⁦‪@ospreybaseball‬⁩ yesterday. He hit a pair of triples and has hit .325/.381/.460 between two levels this year. He turned 18 in mid-July. #DbacksMinors

RHP Austin Pope (2019 15th Rnd) threw four scoreless for ⁦‪@ospreybaseball‬⁩ yesterday while striking out six. In his last six appearances (18.2 IP), he's allowed just one earned while striking out 28 and walking just five. #DbacksMinors

Am I missing something? In 377 plate appearances with AAA Reno,
Cron hit .331 vs. Varsho's .301 at AA Jackson in 438 appearances.

Cron had 38 HR's vs. Varsho's 18. And 105 RBI's vs Varsho's 58.

AAA is a hitters league. But the differences are overwhelming!

Nothing against Varsho. He is a great prospect at Catcher. But how
could he be selected our Minor League Player of the Year over Cron?

Seriously, am I missing something?

One year after finishing with an impressive .541 organizational winning percentage, the D-backs topped it in 2019 with a .551 mark. It was a top-to-bottom effort that saw the club take home championships in the Southern, California and Northwest leagues.

Successful seasons throughout the system came with plenty of individual honors and awards. Along with Kevin Cron's Minor League-leading 39 long balls, the D-backs boast five Top-100 prospects, two of whom -- Alek Thomas and Daulton Varsho -- played in the All-Star Futures Game.

The big league team finished with 85 wins and, with plenty of talent throughout the Minors, sustained success over the next few seasons should not be hard to imagine.
