I'm amazed we rolled the dice so long on the kid. I have faith in him at least having a few meaningful games for us over his career. Going out on a limb, I think he'll be a guy that kicks Edmonds out of that #2 spot over time.

Go Devils and all, too.

Eno has a knack for scoring in the red zone. He has a nice balance between squirting through little holes and applying and initiating contact when it will work.

it will be interesting to see if he can do that on the NFL level.

Edmonds is better than Eno. Faster, more decisive runner.

I described Eno as a small back who doesnt have great speed who runs bigger than he is and dances too much in the hole. I think Eno will be a decent pro, but will never be a starter.

Edmonds ran a 4.55 Eno a 4.57, I'd say the speed difference between the 2 is negligible. We saw him regularly running away from PAC12 defenders, and say what you want about the conference but those guys are just a little better than what was faced by Edmonds at Fordham. I'd guess he is a little more prepared for the jump in competition as a rookie than Edmonds was.

All that being said I think Edmonds and Eno are basically the same player--neither will be a workhorse RB, both can be valuable depth guys who positively impact their teams but both are easily replaceable by a draft pick every year.

Likely all true, but I think Eno dances too much to be an effective starter ever. That's really the core issue with his game.

I still dont dislike the pick. I would have HATED Benjamin in round 4.

I just think Edmonds is the definition of pedestrian. If we cut him tomorrow, I couldn't see him getting a starting shot anywhere, and he's probably the #3 back for the majority of teams.

Eno in 2018 just seemed to have a lot more of an it factor, but I'll admit I wasn't watching the games to give an evaluation, just have some beers with buddies and root on the team.

Eno danced too much in 2019, but that was more a function of the mess at o-line. He was doing much less dancing in 2018 when they had a better line. Eno will make the team and contribute.

Nothing against the kid, But my guess at his answer would of been... "Who?"
Tillman is revered within ASU football. Even recruits who come to ASU will know who he is once they tour the stadium.

Hes not getting a starting shot here!

Edmonds is a fine player. You pick some strange positions to take at times.

Every time he has been given extended carries he has played pretty well.

Yeah that's some extreme ignorance of ASU sports to even suggest that.

ASU definitely honors the hell out of Tillman.

He's a true backup, and I wasn't suggesting he get a starting shot here, but he's the worst backup RB in our division, and could be upgraded. I don't hate him or anything, I just see no reason to feel like he's got an iron grip on the #2 position.

Hes better than what the Rams have, so hes not even the worst in the division.

Hes a decent player and unless beaten out, I see no reason to wring hands over him.

Drake, Edmonds, Benjamin work... but Foster seems to be a lesser version of these finesse backs but I think we need a bigger back to pound in between the tackles to close a game out :)

I'd take Darrel Henderson/Malcom Brown over him.
The Malcolm Brown guy thats not even at 4.0 career ypc with the same amount of TDs despite being in the league 3 years longer?

And Darrell Henderson that doesn’t even have a career TD......lol okay.

No athlete at ASU no matter what sport has no idea who Pat Tillman is.

It's drilled in during your campus visit before you are even accepted. The only image you'll see more of is the fork and sparky.

His triple negative statement was a little confusing, but I believe what @Zeno meant was "Every athlete at ASU in every sport knows who Pat Tillman is."
