There’s no excuse for athletes whose job is to be in great shape to not be top notch conditioned. He’s never been an elite athlete but he doesn’t move as well as he used to and he’s definitely significant heavier than his first couple years.

I agree, there isn't much of an excuse. A lot of people have metabolism changes from their teens to their 20s but you'd think a guy like him would be active to a point that putting on weight in the form of fat, rather than muscle, would be almost impossible. His diet has got to be heavy on the cheese burger and milkshake food groups.
I've grown to be less and less of a fan of his play style but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts to take his conditioning more seriously as the years go on. But... maybe not, we saw Diaw's potential ruined by poor conditioning, I know Barkley has expressed regret over how out of shape he got every off season. Some guys figure it out, some don't.
