+ There Is not one single play where he got helpParis looked solid.
Those plays where an RB and TE were on his side are all plays where he had help. Not a double-team, but this is how you make life easier for your rookie tackle.+ There Is not one single play where he got help
Thank you for posting this. Good stuff. Paris looked pretty solid and only really got beat the one time.I don’t know how to show it, but here’s the link of Paris vs Will.
Horrible blocking scheme. He ran in totally untouched on one play. Will Anderson looked considerably better yesterday!
I think Johnson has bumped the wall, but not smashed into it. In the old days the best defensive rusher was on the left (blindside of right-handed passers). Now they’re often on the right. Johnson has been steady but not flashy. We’ll know much more after his second year. He now knows what he’s up against, so what he does in the offseason will determine his career trajectory.
This. Emphatically! The last 2 weeks since some said he hit the wall he's been really good. At worse PJJ is going to be an above average starting RT for years to come.
He clearly won the match up. Even when he didn't, he gave up outside contain on Murray and a few really good scrambles because he over rushed.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
it seems when Paris gets beat, he gets beat on the quick inside move rather than by speed around the edge or even a bull rushHe now knows what he’s up against,
Eh no. PJJ won nearly every pass down snap. Will Anderson looked considerably better yesterday!
That is interesting. But we ran about 60 plays. So, is it really representative? Maybe he was biased towards picking plays that made it look like a great matchup?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
considering play calls and line flips...I would think 12 to 20 is an accurate representation...especially when you know that Anderson only got a coverage sack against PJ...and 2 hurries I thinkThat is interesting. It looks like the protection in general wasn't bad.
