This is one ASU wanted to keep. Cox looked pretty good as a freshman. Fortunately this is a position of depth (maybe a factor in his decision).

No further ASU players are expected to enter the transfer portal, including Elijhah Badger.

I would have guessed Badger would have been gone so this is good news and I feel like it is a Dillingham culture thing that has caused him to stick around.

Badger declaring for the draft would be an epic bad decision

Crazy sign of the times. Check out the article below. This guy plays every game for the Ducks as a true freshman and appears to be a solid contributor. But now the Ducks are bringing in even more major nationwide talent, forcing Martin to look elsewhere to ensure playing time to continue his development. Its kind of like the offseason has turned into a game of musical chairs.

Indeed. I think these programs (like Oregon) that are throwing a ton of money at NIL and basically rebuilding their roster every year to try and "make it perfect" are going to ultimately find it counterproductive as it tends to destroy team cohesiveness and continuity. There may be some initial success with it, but eventually it's going to have a continued negative impact on them.

It's essentially the same as the big college basketball programs that load up on one-and-dones every year and watch their seasons fizzle out because all their players are mercenaries.

Pretty cool how Martin's graphic shows the changing of the jersey...hopefully ASU will get more of those talented Basha kids in the future.

Perhaps one more transfer to go.

ASU transfers ranked 11th nationally, with several players not yet ranked.
