This is a refreshing bit of self-awareness from Ja after the loss, taking responsibility for his off the court issues effecting the team and needing to get better:

"I just got to be better with my decision-making," Morant said. "That's pretty much it. My off-the-court issues affected us as an organization pretty much. Just more disciplined."

"I feel like mine is more off the court and on the court," he added later. "Being disciplined on both sides. Off the court, making better decisions. On the court, being locked in even more. Being a leader of this team pretty much start with me, so however I attack any situation, I know my guys will follow, so I just got to be better in that area."

Brooks' adventure in free agency is going to be interesting. He seems like a guy that a ton of teams wouldn't take for free (Memphis now included) but there will probably be a couple GMs with their heads stuck in a bygone era who think he provides "toughness" and some sort of value besides a circus side show.

Statistically, Memphis should have taken him out of the starting lineup over a year ago, but either loyalty or fear of his toxicity coming back at them kept him out there.

If you buy into stats like VORP, win shares and real plus minus, Brooks was among the worst rotation players in the league this season.

Smells like a Portland signing... maybe Dallas, both franchises love empty calories.

I just hope JJ doesn't blow our MLE on him. He was interested previously.

he kind of lucked out they drafted Ziaire Williams to replace him, bigger, longer, more athletic and supposed to be a better shooter. But so far Williams just hasn't gotten it done, shot ok from 2 but from 3 not nearly well enough.

Sounds like GP2 is over whatever had him sick in game 6 which is great news, they're going to need him today.

Trading 2 starters and a rotation forward for 1 guy had a lot to do with it.

Going into the trade deadline our bench scoring was well above the league average.

It would have been nice to get an actual rotation player for Saric instead of Bazley...
Are you counting saric as the rotation guy? Bc can’t count crowder. He wasn’t in the rotation this year.

I'd count both of them because they were occupying roster spots that we couldn't fill because of it. And there was always the possibility, if not the expectation, that they'd play or be traded for someone who could play.

Nice counter by Kerr to start he put Draymond back in the lineup for Poole, and he started running a 2nd back cut when they double Curry so when the kings set up low to take the charge there's an extra guy cutting for a wide open bucket. Got 2 layups already off it.

Poole stop driving into shot blockers it's a turnover every time you do it.

It was definitely a leg kick but I've seen much worse not called. I think he called it because it made Klay fall down.

Well you can’t count crowder when you’re talking about play pre-trade and post-trade.

I get why they call, but when they call what I consider a leg drift (which a LOT of shooters do naturally) a leg kick it drives me nuts. Those aren’t guys trying to draw an offensive foul. It’s a natural basketball move. Book gets called for it all the time.

Steph misses 2 FT ...love it

He missed 3 in the last game. On tv last game the Warriors announcers joked the rim must be too high. When he missed the 2 today the ABC announcer made the same joke.

Yeah I don't like the call but I think he called it because Klay tripped over the leg.

The lack of carries and double dribbles in this game is stunning. Steph walked at the beginning of a drive, then double dribbled and they called a foul on the running hook shot. I mean he hit the left hand but you missed a walk and a carry before it.

Terrence Davis is the difference in this game, he had 10 points all series, 9 already today

2 offensive rebounds in the half for the Warriors, difference in the game the Kings have 7 and I think they have like 8-10 points off them.

Supposedly Payton is fine but I noticed after his 3rd foul he went straight to the lockerroom so wondering if he's actually still sick. In the Warriors pregame show they were saying Payton was a big part of todays gameplan they want him guarding Monk, he actually did it well but he got the 3rd foul and then after that Monk got going a bit

Klay is cooked all he's gonna be doing is flashing his 4...which he deserves. All he will have left

Obviously gotta get Klay going if you're the Warriors, 1-10 in the first half and most of the misses weren't even close.

Best half for Sabonis I expect the Warriors to try and put him in pick and roll a bunch in the 2nd half.

Continue to be surprised we're not seeing any Kuminga, I know the Kings spread the court with guards but he's actually a good defender. I think Kerr may be concerned he can't handle the Kings ball pressure but over and over they are failing to convert at the rim, Curry is the only guy who can. Having a guy like Kuminga to dunk those home would be nice.

the next good toss on a jump ball in this series will be the first. The refs are horrible at it

It didn't go in but that was pretty impressive by Wiggins trying to tip dunk that miss
