Yeah. He's playing off ball more. He's a good playmaker but far too slow to be a PG. He mainly plays as a SG but also sees time as a SF, kind of like Grayson. It works for him and Cleveland.

I thought I missed on Ty Jerome, but he is working out well for the Cavaliers.

I think we all missed to an extent because he's not a PG and we didn't envision him elsewhere on the floor. He seems to be doing well for Cleveland in a weird sort of SF/PG role though. He's classified as a SG now but he's kind of position-less. He plays like a point forward like a Kyle Anderson or Nic Batum but he's only 6'5". It's nor like he's playing with big guards either as Garland and Mitchell are small. It's a testament to the system in Cleveland.

Minimally, I always thought Ty Jerome could play shooting guard at the NBA level if point guard didn't work out. However, he was much slower than anticipated, adapting to game speed with Phoenix. However, his high basketball IQ has helped him to make the transition. Jerome may have some height, but he has short arms for size. IMO, Gillespie has more upside at point guard if he ever gets an opportunity to play.

I am guessing he will. As much as I love Tyus, I don't think it is possible for us to keep him beyond this year unless he takes another minimum deal, which seems unlikely. So Gillespie could be in the regular point guard rotation next year.

This is one of the reasons I have pushed so hard for the Suns to sign him to a regular contract, even though he will become a restricted free agent after the season.

Bronny James is being assigned to the Lakers G-League team, which was expected.

He will shuttle back and forth to the Lakers.

The 76ers Tyrese Maxey is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Suns fans found out up close how good a player he is.

I stupidly bought into the Zion hype coming into the season:

The Pelicans have been snake bit all year. CJ, DeJounte, Herb Jones, and others have each missed a couple of weeks. I wonder if Aaron Nelson is still there as their trainer.

It's been endless for them but it's a feature of their front office. Zion, Ingram, CJ... they brought these guys in knowing how injury prone they were and gambled that these guys who are always hurt won't be hurt all the time anymore...

Whoops! Turns out injury prone players tend to only get more and more injury prone.

They won't be able to offer him enough money to be competitive in free agency until we acquire his bird rights but I thought with the 2nd apron that is impacted even for next season? I thought I heard he would have to play next season for us as well before we could offer him a hefty contract. I don't see him resigning with this team for the veteran minimum two years in a row.

If the Suns could swing a deal for Bobby Portis, I'd be interested.

I read awhile back, Collin Gillespie was eligible for a four year contract with options.

Unfortunately, I didn't save the source. Other teams have done something similar.

Spo had a rare disaster class of coaching tonight.

Heat are up 2 with 1.8 seconds left, allow an inbound lob to tie it, Spo, furious with his team for the defense on the play, calls a time out... the heat have no time outs, technical foul, Pistons hit the FT to go up 1, he tries to sub, they're not allowed to, he thinks they're getting the ball, they're not, it's pistons ball, pistons toss it in, Miami fouls with .1 seconds left. Lose by 2.
