A balanced diet while strictly limiting sugar and other processed foods is the best way to go AFAIC. I wouldn't recommend a Keto or Paleo diet (too hard on the arteries) but some of the principles make sense (to me). I avoid frying, eat a lot of veggies, salmon two or three times a week and make lunch time my big meal of the day and that's helped me get my weight down and maintain it. If Luka played for Phoenix, I'd be trying to get him to do the same thing. But since he plays for Dallas, I recommend lots of heavy sauces/gravies and saturated fats.

I know salmon is highly popular and healthy, but every time I've tasted it, it's had a fishy taste.

Two tastes I can't handle are the taste of liver and a fishy taste.

Variations of the Keto diet work, however, I don't think I could follow it because I like carbs too much.

When I followed a low fat diet, it was probably the strongest and healthiest I have ever been.

I feel best on high fat/low fiber-carb. Everyone is different though; metabolism, pancreas function, microbiome, food allergies, family history etc. I don’t believe there is a universal “best” diet other than eliminating trash food.

I grew up avoiding fish because of that "fishy taste and smell". But well prepared salmon rarely tastes fishy to me. Actually, off the top of my head, the only time I remember it tasting fishy it was so underdone I tossed it after a few bites. But all in all, I've had great luck with grilled and baked salmon. The biggest challenge for us is avoiding overcooking it.

It works, no doubt about it.

I agree about the best diet part. Many Europeans don't seem to have a problem with weight, but they walk more, frequently have gardens and eat healthy unprocessed food.

Maybe, but the few times I've tried it, I couldn't eat it.

When I was younger, I used to fish a lot, so I like the taste of fresh fish.

I grew up in Scottsdale in a very blue collar family, the only seafood I was familiar with were fishsticks. My family hunted but none of them fished.

Even fish sticks were better back then. The last time I tried them, all I tasted was the batter. I used to hunt and fish a lot when I was young.

My favorite fish was filleted crappie. I do like the Walmart canned tuna. I'd have to check the name of it, but it is chunky and white.

Got to try some good smoked salmon that you smoke yourself. Smoking it helps balance any fishy taste. You can use some wood chips to sort of create a meat more to your liking.

I was never a fish guy until my ex-Father in law introduced me to various different kinds because he was a fisherman as a hobby and would usually stock his freezer 2-3 times a year. Miss his food more than the ex-wife, lol.

Buzz is growing around De’Aaron Fox’s future with the Kings. As Sacramento is currently on a six-game losing streak, teams are preparing for Fox to potentially ask out by the trade deadline.Sacramento has no intention of trading Fox, but asking out could change their thoughts.

Read something a few days ago that Fox's potential availability in a trade is exactly why Houston has been quiet and also stayed out of the Jimmy Butler rumors. Fox in Houston makes sense, especially if Sacramento takes Jalen Green. The Rockets are loaded with contracts of all sizes, young talent, and picks (including the Suns 1sts from the KD trade).

Rockets were said to want Booker, if needed we could make it 3-way, with Fox/Adams/Whitmore+picks from Houston going to Suns, Booker to Houston, JGreen/Brooks/TyusJ + picks to Kings. Every team has a more balanced roster after that.

The Rockets won't trade half of their team and picks for Booker, besides I prefer (more) picks over Whitmore.

I've never eaten at a Waffle House. Now that I know they don't have fish sticks, I see no reason to change my ways.

And yeah, if we're using food to judge our season by, elementary school cafeteria fish sticks (the only kind I've ever had) tells the whole story.

This was only a spat compared to the Jusuf Nurkic, Naji Marshall and PJ Washington suspensions.

Amen Thompson was suspended two games and Terry Rozier only one.

Amen Thompson throwing Tyler Herro to the floor was pretty brutal though.

If I offend anyone who loves Waffle House I am sorry in advance.

AzSteveCal, nothing good ever happens at a Waffle House. I seen more fights at a Waffle House than the local Rage In The Cage events. There is a reason why you always see videos of people fighting in one. I will admit I have only been there at night when dumb crap happens. I have never step foot in one during the day. You're not missing out on much. Food is not much better than Denny's.

There were only 2 reasons why I went to the Waffle house (well now 3.. for high level Suns meetings) it was either I was drunk and it was a place to go after the Bars/Clubs or I was broke working full time in college and needed a cheap place to eat and study.

Kat is ballin in NY. He was deemed soft but man he’s a force to be reckoned with out there. Good for him and Bridges. I know some suggested trading for Kat, doesn’t look like a bad idea now.

The Heat, Magic, Lakers, Rockets, and Spurs are all considering a pursuit for De’Aaron Fox, per
@sam_amick
(https://nytimes.com/athletic/6032859/2025/01/02/deaaron-fox-kings-mike-brown-firing/).With the Kings spiraling, contending teams are now preparing to land Fox.

That hurts some. He's another one who got away. I know I was sold on Josh Jackson but Fox did look like a good prospect.

I'd bet he lands in Houston. If he ends up in Orlando though that could make them an Eastern OKC. Suggs, Paolo, and Franz are their core and Fox could slide in with them. They're a fun League Pass team to watch even with their injuries. They play like OKC only bigger. Quick, physical, and defensive minded.
