Joel Embiid is out for the season due to medical reasons.

This is actually for the best.

One he will most likely be more healthy next season and probably should have done the surgery sooner. Two his game isn’t high flying above the rim. Three he will hopefully come out stronger and lighter from this.

I’d imagine there was a lot of pressure on him this season to be available since they are in win now mode.

The physical therapy story I will leave for another day.

I'm happy my back surgery went well, but it's still difficult to get out of bed in the morning. I don't expect that to change much.
Gotta give back surgeries a lot of time to get better. Not that most ever get totally better, but hopefully you get to the point where you get to a new normal that you eventually learn to live with. Also, ice and heat packs will be your friend for the rest of your life.

Can he play def or rebound at all? If so the suns should look at him more size always a bonus:))

I'd have to watch some tape. A player like this would be worth a look on a two-way contract. He was drafted 19th in the 2021 draft.

Overall, I am quite pleased with the back surgery. I no longer have the sciatic nerve pain running down both legs. I figure there may be residual things going on, like arthritis.

For some reason, ice packs never helped me much. When I'm in a crunch for quick heat for pain relief, I sometimes use a hair dryer. A heating pad can help some, but it tends to move around.

When I had my knee scoped years ago, I think they took out too much cartilage, or whatever it's called. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have done it or told the doctor to clean out the bare minimum.

Kai jones has a nasty attitude. He was dunking on everyone early in the season. And it’s the nasty kind we need.

6-11

Rim runner. Young. Athletic.

Clippers got rid of Bones too. I’m not sure why they quickly get rid of guys.

But Idr the wild thing Kai Jones said a year or two ago.

But he’s young and athletic. To add that in an instant would be great.

Hmm. The 76ers might have a potential path out of their salary cap woes.

Absolutely not. He got cut by Charlotte, of all teams, for being delusional. He bashed his teammates on social media while ranting how he was the best player on the team, league, and of all time. He made a trade demand a week later after dealing with the fallout of his tirade. He was then cut.

Add on how the last Bahamian big worked out here and that's a hard pass, even on a Two-Way.

Yeah I just now looked it up because I couldn’t recall the reasons for the charlotte situation.

Maybe we can just keep him caged up like weapon X and unleash him every now and then.

I couldn't remember specifics and ended up going down that rabbit hole again. I had no clue he was Bahamian though. If only the Bahamian we had possessed that sort of self confidence then maybe we would have a banner. A bit of a Yin and Yang situation there.

I'm certainly not locked onto Kai, but there has been a steady flow of vet minimum big men that have been available all season. I'd certainly like for the Suns to kick the tires on one of them, either as a third center or on a two-way contract.

Btw, a lot of teams have been adding a player who was on two-way contracts to their regular roster and then signing more two-way player(s). I hope the Suns take a look at doing this. IMO, Gillespie would be a good candidate.

The Pacers plan to sign center Tony Bradley to a 10-day contract.

I'm not going to judge every NBA player by his home country. Eric Gordon and Buddy Hield have been solid.

On a two-way contract or a vet minimum contract, I'm mostly open-minded if the Suns wanted to kick the tires.

Well, that is really good news to hear. My multitude of surgeries have all helped over the years, but never solved my sciatica.

Yeah… I’m a newbie to knee surgery and this was the least invasive and recovery hasn’t been as smooth as I was led to believe.

Surgery sucks.

Agree, I'd prefer to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary.
