Michigan junior All-American defensive tackle Mason Graham has declared for the NFL draft and hired Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha to represent him. “We expect Mason to get drafted in the top five picks,” Rosenhaus said.

Walk with me @Chopper0080

R1: Walter Nolen(3T)
R2: Kyle Kennard(EDGE)
R4: Domonique Orange(0T/1T)
I have a man-crush on Mike Green right now but I do like Nolen's pass rush ability inside. No issues with KEnnard in round 2 either. Super productive and I think can play the run as well.

Lots of options.

What are your thoughts on Princely? I wasn't a huge fan coming into the year but I have liked his production this season, and he might be available in the mid 2nd round beside Kennard.

I like Princely & like Kennard, was able to finally put it all together.

Am just a tad bit worried due to both of them being on stacked DLines.

@Chopper0080 Do you think it’s likely we go 1T or 3T for iDL early?
I have to talk through this a bit. The answer I want to give is that they will take the best DL player, but that doesn't answer your question. Here are a couple thoughts.

In terms of a 1T, I think the staff likes Roy Lopez and his progress this year, and might feel like Nichols is more of a 1T than 3T. (We can both agree that he didn't show much interior push.)

They invested in Justin Jones but obviously he didn't show much pass rush ability.

Stills has been a nice surprise, but he seems to struggle vs the run.

I expect LJ Collier back.

Darius Robinson seems to be better vs run than pass early.

All of this makes me think they would prioritize a 3T, but would be open to a 1T who could rush, and ultimately, pass rush ability might be more important than the position. So when it comes down to Grant vs Walker vs Nolen vs Harmon, I think motor and rush ability will be the separators.

So, to answer your question, 3T because I feel they can get 1T later in the draft.

If 3T is the final verdict, Nolen has to be the pick if he falls down to us. The dude is awesome.

Some early thoughts I have on this defensive front class.

I like Mykel Williams less than most because most of his production that I have seen is due to stunts vs his ability to beat players one on one. I think he will be a good pro, but more of a 8-10 sack guys vs a 15+.

Mike Green is one of my favorites. He wins with bend. He can disengage. He is physical. He reminds me a little of Khalil Mack when he came out of Buffalo. Productive at a lower school despite being the only player teams were scheming against.

I like Deone Walker more than most. I think he has great size, and has some good pass rush moves. I also like that he is the only guy opposing teams scheme for. Not a great year from him in terms of production which is a bit of a concern.

I like Kenneth Grant. I don't know as much about his rush ability. He is also on a stacked defense which can give me pause but it hasn't mattered much for previous Michigan players or Georgia/Alabama players.

I like him as well. I didn't understand the transfer decision but I don't know how much that matters. I am little bias against Ole Miss players because I don't really think they run a "serious" football program and some of their players are goofs/lazy. That said, Nolen and Princely have both shown good motors when I have watched them. Also agree that Nolen might be the best rush player on the front.

Continuing some d front thoughts.

I am a bit skeptical of James Pearce as he gets subbed for a lot. I would want to know more about that. He also seems a bit finesse for a Gannon/Rallis defense. Long and lean on the edge tho.

I like Dontay Corleone (The Godfather) as well. I could see him dropping because he is more of a 1T/NT but I think in the 3rd round he would be great.

I am still trying to figure out the A&M and South Carolina guys. They all seem to flash but I just need to watch more.

LT Overton will be interesting in round 2. If he is as big as listed 6'5 285, that is similar to Darius Robinson. I haven't seen much in terms of pass rush, but that can be teachable. Another odd transfer from A&M.

When I say I don't understand the A&M transfers it is because in 2023, A&M had Walter Nolen, LT Overton, Shemar Stewart, and Shemar Turner. Did players transfer because they were not going to start? Was it due to coaching? Just something to winder about even if it amounts to nothing.

Just look to OSU for the 1st round pick. Monti has gone there every year.

Too bad I don’t see any 1st round guys on them. Funny thing is at the beginning of the year they were thought to have 4-7.

I could see the Cardinals grabbing JT in round 2 in they want to go edge there.
