Maye looks fine. Miami has significantly better recruits. Maye is playing the game Williams needed to play. Don’t turn the ball over and put your team in worse spots.

Miami blitzed Maye like crazy tonight and he had to take some sacks. But, where he played an NFL game, is he got the ball out on time when he could, and he took advantage of pretty much every play where his line blocked it up for him.

The two early TD passes showed Maye was reading the defense and making the decision based on Miami's safeties' reactions, which reminds the video someone posted of Kurt explaining how he reads the defense.

I was watching the Illinois vs Maryland game yesterday and there was one play that JerZhan Newton made that just made me a huge fan. Maryland was facing a 4th and goal from about the 3 yard line. Ball is snapped and Newton just obliterates the guard. He does his job without trying to play outside the defense. Maryland ultimately scores due to throwing a pass in the flat, but Newton’s job was to blow up a potential read option between the QB and RB. He does it to perfection.
