Agreed. He is a baller but has some medical issues.

He is worth the risk at a certain point for sure. We need better LB's.

Hoping Edgerrin Cooper slides to the 3rd round as well.
I think Wilson is better than Cooper and I like Cooper as well. Wilson is just so fast and plays with intensity.

Good news for us. I want to see those QBs high up the board as it increases our chances of MHJ.
Historically we are in a good spot at pick 4.... pick 4 is tied with pick 1 as having the most drafted Hall of fame players all time.
Makes sense considering it's usually where the first/best non QB is drafted in many cases

Did Baker say he didn't want to be drafted by Cleveland or something?
The opposite: "I think if anybody's going to turn that franchise around it would be me,'' Mayfield said Friday during his podium interview at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Correct -- my original comment didn't imply Mayfield made any of the comments that CW had made. (about not wanting to be drafted by Cleveland)

However, he was greatly humbled by the NFL.....which I believe will be CW's future.

Really humbled maybe but think very few expected mayfield being a 1st overall pick if i remember correctly

Rome Odunze
Washington · WR · Senior
The Cardinals need to add a big wideout. My comp for Odunze is Larry Fitzgerald. Perfect fit in Arizona.

Jackson Powers-Johnson
Oregon · C · Junior
Powers-Johnson was having a standout Senior Bowl week until he exited with a nagging hamstring injury. He has the size, strength and versatility to step in and start at guard or center.

4. Arizona Cardinals

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR,
Ohio State

The Cardinals can sit tight and get arguably the best overall player in the draft. A 6-foot-4 receiver with excellent all-around polish, Harrison will immediately be the WR1 that Kyler Murray has been missing since DeAndre Hopkins left town. In fact, that’s my player comparison for Harrison; he’s a taller Hopkins, given his smooth route running, body control and ability to play above the rim in the end zone.

27. Arizona Cardinals (via HOU)

JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The Cardinals lost left tackle D.J. Humphries to a torn ACL in the final game of the regular season, which opens the door for 2023 No. 6 overall pick Paris Johnson Jr. to slide back to his natural position after playing right tackle as a rookie. That would leave a giant hole on the right side, though.

A three-year starter, Latham has road-grading power at 340 pounds but is also poised in pass protection and uses his length well to shut down outside lanes. Latham played with less bounce in his feet in 2023, otherwise he might be a top-15 pick. But if the Cardinals can get him back to his 2022 levels, he would be a steal this late. Adding Harrison (at No. 4) and Latham to the offense would be huge.

35. Arizona Cardinals

Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

After adding a wide receiver and right tackle in Round 1 in this scenario, the Cardinals could flip to the defense, which lacks a playmaker at cornerback. Wiggins is 6-foot-2 and expected to run in the 4.3s in the 40-yard dash at the combine. He’s ideal for schemes that favor man coverage, can dominate at the line of scrimmage and picked off two passes in 2023.

If Mims is gone Latham would be a decent pick there.

I would take that draft right now. But I can see harrisson Latham and Wiggins all being gone at those picks. I could go for odunze Braden trice and sweat as well

I'm a big fan of Sweat but dude just ain't a first round pick. Newton is... Due to position scarcity Murphy will probably go in the late first... But this draft is very weak on d line talent...cant let team needs force us to over draft. There is a good possibility Sweat is going to eat himself out of the NFL Teams just don't want a 400 pound dude, and sweat is 370 and still a growing boy.... Our guy Deuce Latui was a talented player too ...but in the end it didn't matter because he couldn't make weight. I would accept Sweat at 35 but even that high is an over draft....much better to trade back into the second and get him around 50

Can't see us taking a C that high but any other OL position is possible IMO.

Yeah if Marv is gone and we don’t want alt I think Monti tries to trade down. I read where nabers had some shoulder injuries in his past and his size scares me to death. So odunze is my guy if we go wr and harrisson is gone. If we trade down and go d who would u take between newton Arnold verse or turner? Say we trade down to 11?

Newton. We need guys in the middle.., Verse is probably the guy who will have the biggest impact as a rookie though

For all the people wanting an OT at 27, I've seen a lot of mocks where there are 8 OTs taken before 27. Fautanu dreams are looking dicey.

Maybe needs its own thread.

However, how willing are people to give up a couple of those 3rd round picks to secure who we want with our 2nd 1st round pick.

I'm glad he mentioned JPJ. I don't think you can discount him at 27.

Although the idea of double dipping for offense in round 1 and still possibly needing an OT doesn't appeal.
Im actually ok with our first 3 picks being on offense. If he's there at 35 I might be for it.

If we're keeping our other picks the depth is on the defensive side of the ball in this draft imo.
