1.5 is probably accurate and I was probably splitting hairs.

I wouldn't be excited about him if he was a Cardinals player.
Oh. I would have LOVED him here. I'd rather have him than, like Christian Kirk. He can play on the outside, I think he's a good blocker. I think he's more consistent than someone like Calvin Ridley.

Cool. I really wasn't hot for a guy with a single great season who his own team didn't want to pay despite having loads of cap space.

Easy to argue Anderson drew the attention and Greenard benefited.
That would also make it easier to argue Monty blew it by not taking Anderson if he you think it’s easy to argue that Anderson has that much impact across the entire D-line.

It's a rough heuristic, but Pittman hasn't finished below WR 27 in fantasy points after his rookie season. You don't have to be a football sicko to know who he is.

I think I also described him above as a WR 1.5. He'd easily have been the best WR on the Arizona Cardinals last year and probably 10 or more other teams around the league. It's no shame the he couldn't be a WR 1 or 2 for the Bengals and Eagles. I think you'd really get into arguable territory after four teams there.
I’m not 100% sure but they’ve pretty much had a revolving door of average to below average qb play as well.

Yes. He's a star WR who might bubble up into the top 15 of WRs but unlikely to consistently land there or conjure a top 10 season or better. I think he's the absolute floor, worst-case scenario for Marvin Harrison, Jr., barring a catastrophic injury.
You're not describing a #4 pick

Broncos gave him explicit permission.
I would think that if a team is releasing someone regardless why would they deny permission? What would be the reason?

Since nothing can be official until Wednesday, he'd need permission to do so. They could deny, if they were releasing because the player asked and the team was afraid he'd go to rival.

I would be in on him if he was about $7 million less.

I was like $14-15m tops.

I'd rather sign Danielle Hunter who is a beast for that kind of money. Hunter probably looking for $24m after seeing that deal though.

That's a good comp. Pittman is a Kirk level player.

I don't think he blew it, I like Paris and we have the extra picks still to use.

But you can certainly make an argument for staying put and taking Anderson. Too early to conclude either way.

You guys are underrating Pittman. Especially when you look at his production considering the very below average QB play he has been dealing with. Brisett, Minshew, a few games of Richardson, a washed up Rivers, a washed up Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, Nick Foles, and a broken down Cardson Wentz.

That really is a who’s who of who’s not really an NFL starting QB.

Mehhh many actuali star wide receivers have put up far better numbers with bad QB play.

You could argue that he wouldn’t have had the production he had in Houston here as well. Are dline had to be the worst in the league and probably bottom half of college teams lol

Yeah. I'm not sure. I'm definitely a "cream always rises" guy. Reggie Wayne had 960 yards and 4 TDs in that season that Curtis Painters was the starter between Manning and Luck. I think that Michael Pittman is roughly the quality of Reggie Wayne.

You're not describing a #4 pick

As a floor a guy who will consistently get you 1000 yards regardless of QB? That's Larry Fitzgerald, my guy.

I don't know what you expect the range for a top pick to be. The ceiling for Marvin Harrison Jr is maybe Terrell Owens with wheels and his head on straight?

Good receivers still out up good numbers. Pittman put up meh numbers.

I'd be interested in who you're thinking about here. I don't think Michael Pittman is as good as DJ Moore, but Moore had less than 900 yards in 2022 with Mayfield-Darnold-Walker as the starters.

DJ Moore is arguably the best "star" WR out there that could use a boost from a good QB. He edged into superstar territory last season.
