I’m getting seriously concerned that one offseason may not be enough to make this team competitive. Just using my fingers I believe I could count the number of NFL-level players on this roster! No game review this week.

Definitely, seems very difficult to make it in one off season
at this point should be good trying to test some young players from other practice squad teams
There is nothing to lose

Well , that didn't take long. They look completely out of sync and going to put Murray in?

Really depends how Murray does - if he isn’t the answer and we have to use that #1 on a QB - may take us more than 1 season I agree

This was always the most likely scenario. The one-year turnaround plan was predicated on hitting big on this year's draft class and grabbing two high draft picks in next year's draft. It doesn't look like either of those things will happen. Throw in Caleb not exactly looking like a generational QB lately, and it's a tough road to a quick redemption.

Maybe this is why NFL teams don't tear down their rosters for essentially nothing in return very often.

Always thought this was a 1-2 process with the pure lack of talent / depth across the board. This year is a wash, next year I’m not expecting near the same record we have at this point but be a .500 team for the most part in year two. Year three all bets are off time to make the donuts and contend in the division

What would be NFL caliber players as few as they may be in locker thinking about right now? Would they give 100% when their paid coaching staff and front office are clearly throwing games away? Can they just flip the switch in 2024?

Good question. Frustration has to be off the charts.

I don’t see how it makes sense to let Brown walk with how little talent we have, ideally I’d like to focus draft resources on d line, corner and interior o line and signing brown goes a long way towards that.

Would the fact that Marquise Brown isn’t very good shift your perspective? Really hard to pay a guy $24 million a year who gets 8 targets and ends up with 4 receptions for 24 yards.

We don’t have to decide right now, thankfully. I expected he’d be so productive and have so little competition from his teammates that we’d force-feed him like we did late-model Fitz. He just doesn’t have any outstanding traits.

Ehhh it’s the NFL. League especially NFC is mediocre to bad outside a few teams. Get Kyler right and hit a couple picks and we’re fine.
I think we need two FAs to outperform their contracts. Getting two more PJJs and losing Hollywood Brown doesn’t get us anywhere unless Kyler is elite.
