i think that sack was more on murray and fro for not recognizing the blitz - but i also expect that to be one of the first plays addressed in the film room because that was crazy dangerous
Oh you know that will be a topic in the film room for sure.

if i have done my tracking correctly:

Cards gave up chance to draft Will Anderson, and got:

Paris Johnson
Owen Pappoe ( 2023 5th rounder)
Darius Robinson (2024 1st rounder)
Elijah Jones (2024 3rd rounder)

Will Anderson is a really nice player who would be a giant help right now, but PJJ is looking like a 10 year fixture at LT. How Darius turns out will really tell the tale here

Actually this is what the Cardinals ended up with that all started with the Will Anderson Trade and includes the 2nd rounder used to move up to select Paris:

The Cardinals 2023 #3 and 2023 #34 were essentially turned into (through three 2023 draft day trades that started with the Will Anderson trade):

2023:
LT Paris Johnson Jr
Edge BJ Ojulari
CB Garrett Williams

2024:
DL Darius Robinson
G Isaiah Adams
CB Elijah Jones

The trade was absolutely 100% well worth it! If Darius Robinson becomes the player, we all hope it was a landslide trade to our side. And it’s already to the positive with a franchise left tackle and Garrett Williams coming around! Isiah Adams showing promise too!

Garrett Williams part of the trade as was our 2023 third round pick, which turned into Tyjae Spears.

Youre making the trade sequence seem less balanced than it was.

That is 100% incorrect.

The Cardinals used the 3rd round pick that they got from the Lions trade during the draft to select Garrett Williams.

The Cardinals swapped their original 3rd round pick with the Eagles to "Pay off the Eagles" for Monti tampering with JG and got the Eagles 3rd round pick in return which they used on Michael Wilson.

im going to amend my post

for passing on Will Anderson and taking PJJ, the Cards got:

Darius Robinson and Isiah Adams. Those are the "net" extra picks gained from the various moves.

I am not counting Garrett Williams. In that trade with the Titans, the Cards gave up a 2023 2nd and 3rd and got back a 2023 2nd and 3rd ............. AND a 2024 3rd (the extra pick that was used on Isiah Adams).

After the trade of the #3 overall pick Monti used assets from that trade move around and to increase his draft capital. That is why I think you have to include the three trades involved that kind of touched that that first big trade.

So think of it this way, the Cardinals started the day with 8 2023 draft picks and two of them were used in the three draft day trades that started with the Anderson trade.

2023 #3 overall (Traded away)
2023 #34 overall (Traded away)

2023 #66 overall (Tampering forced to trade with Eagles but not related to Anderson trade)
2023 #96 overall (Traded away and not related to the Anderson trade)

2023 #105 overall
2023 #168 overall
2023 #180 overall
2023 #213 overall

From those three Anderson related trades, they ended the draft with the following, the stuff in green was a part of or became part of what the Anderson trade started:

2023 #6 overall (PJJ)
2023 #41 overall (BJ Ojulari)
2023 #72 overall (Garrett Williams)

2023 #94 overall (Added but not related to the Anderson trade)
2023 #122 overall (Added but not related to the Anderson trade)
2023 #139 overall (Added but not related to the Anderson trade)
2023 #168 overall
2023 #180 overall
2023 #213 overall

2024 #27 overall (Darius Robinson)
2024 #71 overall (Isiah Adams)
2024 #90 overall (Elijah Jones)
