Different players but Michael Vick had mechanics issues for a lot of his career. It's not unheard of for unconventional players to not have great mechanics and to not believe it is a huge priority. I don't know that is the case with Kyler, but it can happen. Personally, I think the mechanics go out the window when Kyler is under pressure.I think Kylers biggest issue is inconsistency in his mechanics. Not just from game to game but from drive to drive. We saw it last Sunday (and in recent weeks) poor feet, not getting set etc. The 2nd pick on Sunday was a good example but we see it lead to inconsistent throws downfield.
It shouldn't still be an issue in year 6.
Tim Tebow also. Even Lamar Jackson has unconventional mechanics. I hate that Kyler taps the ball at the beginning of his throwing routine.Different players but Michael Vick had mechanics issues for a lot of his career.
