I just posted it in another thread but apparently the Eagles wanted Nolen and were planning on moving up to the early 20's to get him if he got that far. They've done pretty well in recent years taking DL's that other teams had red flags on. Obviously Gannon was there so there's a reasonable chance he looks for similar things to what they do in players.

i wanted o-line but o-line was gone - monti put himself in position for bpa and it paid off - a defensive tackle with 6.5 sacks last year - come on man - i think zaven led the cards with 5 sacks last year - and it's not about personal production when rotating it's about dominating space - who's gonna double our edge rusher when they have to worry about the middle

couple few teams unexpectedly went offense

o-line went fast - 3 tackles and booker all gone by #12

this allowed atl (walker) and arizona (nolen) to go bpa - im half surprised because monti already fortified his defensive line - twice - but he didn't trade back - he may have listened to an offer but STILL went with nolen
Did get offers

Right? I feel bad for me as a Cardinals fan too
JAS, and I'm not saying that you give up on the Cardinals, but consider following a second NFL team. It would give you a comparison, and by the start of the RS, you could leave the Cardinals, as a fan, or leave your other NFL team. Like I said it is just a suggestion.

That's not how being a fan works, at least for me.

While I'm disgusted that we've spent our big offseason money and our 1st round pick to replace Monti's shambolic first FA period, I am happy they recognized their mistakes with Jones/Nichols and have focused on fortifying the D-Line.

Nolen has much needed attitude and the fact he's only 21 makes him even more attractive. I also like the fact that he can play anywhere on the line.
