Talked with a friend of mine who is an orthopedic doctor. He said an osteochondreal allograft is not the most common procedure performed - but literature has very favorable outcomes. He said anecdotally his patients that have had this procedure come to develop some varying degree of arthritis faster than the average adult- however the 10 year prognosis is very good - he may just have a bum knee by his mid 30s

Wanna play this game? Cause trust me your list is gonna be way shorter?

I get you wanna be optimistic but pretty much trying to be a smart ass pointing to an exemption to the rule isn’t a good argument

Yes, it is because if there's an exception, it's not a rule.

In my opinion, an exception to a trend would be more accurate.

Love the player. Hated the Garrett Williams pick And now he's among our best players. I think will can do the same thing. Had not seen specifics on the knee injury? Great player if healthy
I covered it fully in my round 2 separate post

That’s a cartilage transplant. Valid future option, but not universally successful.

will johnson might be one of the best players on our team - the way people want a qb to come in and push kyler.... that's what we get with wj in our secondary room - a new pecking order will (johnson) be established - everybody's job just got easier if will johnson is going one on one with the #1 receiver - not to mention we won't be blitzing as much - I guarantee rallis is doing the hippie dance too

Doubt (IMO) very much that Rallis will be moving Johnson around to go one-on-one with the opposition's #1 receiver; he's not the second coming of PP21. Johnson's strength is zone play, and Rallis favours that scheme, which could be boosted if we can generate sacks and hurries without blitzing.

Entire defensive staff should be elated with all the options they have now

I was reading a lot of concern about the knee prior to the draft. Even factoring that in, he was expected to go higher due to his skills. This guy can be a CB1 guy potentially.

I think of Will Johnson and Garrett Wilson as having two great #2 corners which is better than a lot of teams can say. As others have mentioned filled we need Melton to be above average.
