I think Lockett has passed his prime. He’s no longer capable of spreading the field. Samuel certainly can do that but the cost is high and it strengthens a team the Cards don’t want to help.

Tough call! He’s still an impact player when healthy, but how often is that. At the right price he’s a consideration.

I'd take a flutter on him. High upside, and we need to take some risks to get better. No risk it, no biscuit.
I want a Deebo type player but not Deebo. He’s hurt way too much often is comes off as a bit of a jerk. Would not fit this culture. We can also do better than Lockett.

My guess is the Cardinals will try to talk Humphries into taking Beachum's role as a swing tackle. It would give them a cheaper option to fill in at RT depending on how long Jonah is out.
I like the idea in theory, just not sure about Hump at RT in practice.

The reports on Humphries out of KC are really bad. He couldn’t beat out Thuney who really struggled to play tackle. I don’t think he’s as good as Beachum at this point.
He came back too early. I was super surprised he was considered healthy mid season after being hurt late last year.

Listening to Michael Bidwill on 98.7 FM just now and anyone thinking this team is going to be aggressive in FA should disavow themselves of that notion right now.
He immediately started talking about not being able to spend whatever it takes because of salary cap constraints, and that you often have to overpay in FA, then talked about building through the draft, then talked about how many guys were coming back off IR and how BJ Ojulari was going to be dominant.
But what was really just sad was hearing the radio guys just be utter wimps when asking the toughest question. They tried to lob a softball and saying is this the year where you can really go for it in FA now that the base is built and Michael responded what do you mean? They then stumbled for words when the obvious thing they wanted to and should have said was: Are you going to sit on 30 million of cap space again this year? Instead, they just backed down.
