Hendrickson alone would make a huge impact on this defense. Add Reddick ( Koonce)?, and BOOM, everybody on this defense is better. We’d possibly be adding 25 sacks to this defense not counting pressures. This defense would be legit.
Trade down and pick up a DT , wow.

Monti, It’s sitting right in front of you. We would be a legitimate division and playoff contender. Come on man. Reach for the brass ring.

The Arizona Cardinals have inquired on Bengals All-Pro DE Trey Hendrickson, per source.
Getting Trey Hendrickson and Denzel Ward would make the Cardinals instant contenders and make the team exciting again. They have the money and draft capital to make it happen. Would probably have to use next year’s number one as well.

I think our second (#47) and a 2026 4 or 5 should get it done. The Giants got a much younger Brian Burns for a second (#39) and a next year's 5.

The big question is how much does he want and for how long. Ownership would have to be onboard with the contract and I'm not sure it would be.

I’m all for giving up a second rounder instead of a first. I just think that many teams will offer that and out bid us.

Monti isn’t trading high picks for a veteran but he would sign big name difference makers in FA if it was his call. I don’t think it’s ultimately his call though.

- The Seahawks are blowing up their team (at least offensively)

- The Niners will be good but they’re in decline age & cap wise

- Stafford could fall off a cliff any minute given his wear & tear plus age

If you have to overpay $10-15m for a guy that could make a 1-2 win difference over the course of a season you got to pull the trigger b/c the division is deteriorating.

30 isn’t an issue for me. He would still give the cards at least 3 good years. Sign him to a 4 year contract and reevaluate him in year 4
I'm sure he has a few good years left. But imo 3 good years is not worth 47.
A couple 3's... but not 47
