A top priority on Michigan State's defensive recruiting board is a linebacker from St. Louis, Missouri, Mason Marden. The Spartans extended an offer to the linebacker prospect a couple of months ago, and have now scheduled an official visit with the prospect.

Michigan State will be hosting Marden on an official visit starting on May 30. The recruitment, led by defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, will be highly contested. The 6-foot-3, 220 pound linebacker has over a dozen offers at the power conference level. Along with MSU, he has official visits scheduled with Kansas and Wisconsin.

Marden plays his high school football at Ladue Horton Watkins and is currently ranked as a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports.
