In major breaking news fashion ahead of this weekend, the Spartans have added one of the top recruits on their 2026 recruiting board to the agenda. Michigan State has locked in offensive tackle Kelvin Obot for an official visit.

Obot is a 6-foot-5, 265 pound offensive tackle from Fruitland, Idaho. He is a 4-star prospect ranking as the No. 140 overall player and No. 12 offensive tackle in the nation, while being the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Idaho.

Michigan State hosted the blue chip offensive line prospect for an unofficial visit, but will now get the first crack at the highly touted prospect for an official visit.

The Spartans currently hold one offensive line commit in the form of Eli Bickel, and are looking to round out a four to five man class through official visit season. Obot would be a major prospect to add into the mix.
