Chaplin
Better off silent
Did anyone realize that the final few minutes of the show last night was probably the only time in the entire series run that real-time didn't apply?

D-Dogg said:Well, we just had The Hunt For Red Octobauer.
Chandler Mike said:Yeah, I noticed...they always seem to do that...
Chaplin said:Example?
Two moments that happen off the top of my head at seasons conclusion:
1) David Palmer gets poisoned by the lesbian hottie.
2) Jack Bauer heads off into the sunset after faking his death.
Both of those, while not completely real-time, are nowhere near being at an airfield one minute, then three minutes later in the middle of the ocean on a freighter...![]()
Chandler Mike said:Yeah, but it still felt like they tossed the timeline out anyways...
It doesn't bother me...I've changed my attitude with it...24 is good fun, they can't possibly make it so interesting, and exciting for 24 episodes and not go a little far..

"jack, your daughter who you just mentioned won't ever talk to you, thus making you really, really sad is now on the phone to talk to you after magically finding out that you just saved the day just now from an enemy she didn't even know existed oh and you'll have to take the call inside this empty warehouse were no one else is." those few minutes felt like the end of a wayne's world movie. i wouldn't have been surprised if someone came over and said aerosmith was there to play a victory song for jack.

jenna2891 said:it would have been way cooler if jack was kidnapped and then that was the end, leaving us to speculate who the masked men were.
abomb said:Wait, I was under the impression that Martha knew nothing of the secret recording device planted on ol' Pussface.
The call from Kim was very obviously a trap, but I was shocked when the Jacknappers removed their masks and revealed that they were Chinese.
CQ said:When Kim supposedly called, I actually was thinking that SHE had been kidnapped and it was a "Daddy save me!" phone call.![]()

I kind of picked up the general idea of what happened in previous seasons, but it was still confusing at times not knowing what had hapened previously.
