Love the first 45 minutes of the show, and the leadup to Logan offing himself was brilliant.

But they must have opened the 24 Cliche Handbook and found, "Hey! That unlikable weasel in CTU can actually turn into a mole! What an original idea!"

Hate that they did that.

On another note, glad Aaron is coming back next ep.

Interesting show. It started off looking like they were preparing for the season to wind down, but now it seems they are pressping for next season even more. I wonder what they are going to do to Logan now, since the recording is tampered with.

I thought Miles was going to work against Jack but only because he thought he was doing the right thing.

I like how he is portrayed as a go by the book kind of guy and yet at what appears to be no reason he turns on the country. I'm sure the boss holding out the info on the President can't be the only reason.

It's funny, my wife and I watch the show for two different reasons. She gets enthralled by the action and stuff. I watch it for laughs.

The whole copilot getting his butt kicked and having a gun held to his head while being forced to do a maneuver he says could crash the plane and then being forced to land on the freeway had me rolling.

That was the 2nd funniest thing I've seen this season. The other was when Jack shot that dude's wife early in the season.

i'm not sure i buy that logan would kill himself to take one for the team. to avoid the public scrutiny, sure, but not to save weird phone guy.

QUESTION: anyone else think wormy miles sounds just like dwight from the office?

Weird phone guy is the leader of the illuminati. Mark it down.

Re: Question. YES!!! We were saying things like Dwight would during the show..."Mr. President, Karen Hayes and I have worked together since we were on my family's beet farm..."

Sounds exactly like him.

I agree; the instant he picked up the gun I was waiting for the saved by the telephone moment from Miles. They telegraphed that one so hard that I was hoping against all hope it was a misdirect and that it wouldn't happen, and Logan would leave his legacy in a Jackson Pollack blood spatter on the wall. Damn you 24.

It's pretty clear the dude is a power-hungry P.O.S. He saw an opportunity to get a monster promotion (probably end up heading CTU or Homeland) in order to help the president. He doesn't think about the right thing, or loyalty or grudges. He thinks about his own self and that's it. He isn't by the book...he's by the Miles. He's your standard office politics player...he's only by the book if he can eliminate someone who can do the job better and poses a threat. Heck, we've already seen him go over Karen's head once and call Mike Novack...I had zero doubt he was going to go to Logan and was just hoping it was a nice misdirection and not cliched. I was wrong.

Ha! I annoy D-Dogg constantly by saying "Question: Can we catch Jack Bauer?".

Also, Curtis has been dubbed "Black Bauer" and "Black Jack". Someday Black Jack shall utter phrases like "I always double down!"

QUESTION: Would you be suprised if I told you that when the oxygen masks fell out of the compartments, I yelled out "Watch out for the snakes!"

That was pretty funny.

I hope Miles gets his @$$ kicked by Jack. Maybe a chop to the throat for good measure.

QUESTION: did jack's shoes come off in the plane crash?

Like Die Hard? I dont think so. I think he wears those Beatrix Kiddo karate type shoes that allow you to tiptoe and sneak around all stealthy like.

And yes, that episode elicited multiple SoaP jokes.

Also, when Jack kissed Audrey in the triage, I noted "Jack Bauer is so powerful, he just impregnated Audrey Raines."

I figured that for being suspicious of Karen Hayes' actions when dealing with Chloe and the former CTU head.

You knew someone from CTU/Homeland was going to throw the show for another loop as it was bundled up too nicely with a few episodes remaining.

I had my fingers crossed Logan was gonna take out his wife or just as he would Aaron would come storming back all battered and bruised from whatever happened to him and would save the day.

Speaking of which, I hate previews that show what will happen as far as surprises. Showing Aaron is still alive and will make a return kind of ruins the whole suspense of wondering where he is.

Just like prior to yesterday's show I was reading a description of the episode and it said Audrey was going to get a pleasant surprise. Right away you knew it was her dad miraculously survived the crash.

Of course now, he's going to have a speedy recovery and will make another splash by helping take the President down.

What a great episode. I can't wait for the season finale.

Perhaps the best line of the season;
Aaron;
Will that be all................................... Charles?

I totally agree!!!!! I was almost in tears thinking they were actually going to kill Aaron!

What characters that are still alive on the show now were around in season 1?
  • Jack
  • Aaron
  • Mike ?
  • Kim (although she isn't actually ON the show anymore)

That was a great line :)

Stupid previews from next week gave too much away, but it looks good.

Can't believe we're suddenly on a submarine...where has this day gone? :)
