Froto.....

LOL! I was thinking "Mr. Frodo" the whole friggin time. I couldn't see Samwise(sp?) in CTU. Until he proved himself I didn't like him. Now, he looks like he may be a solid character... Even though he is... (some sort of producer? saw his name but have forgotten)

My whole family yelled, "Sam Gamgee!" when he finally showed up. :)

So far this has been a very good plot. Especially when we found out the hostage thing was a cover all along! :)

I hope they detail the reasons for bringing Sean Astin in to effectively supercede Buchanon, who I thought was doing a fine job already. It's not like Buchanon has a drug problem, or was exposed to radiation.

They did. He was sent in response to White House pressures on the district CTU offices. That's what they told Buchanon, at least. ;)

That's pretty weak though. They should have just said, "We need to bring in a new actor that is relatively well known, since we killed off one of the series most beloved actors and the best actress the series has ever had. That's why he's taking over."

They didn't have to say that. We all KNOW that. I'm sorry. Next time I'll send you a special email telling you that! :) j/k

Another good episode last night...

I like that they aren't sticking with these inside people for long...I hate it when they just drag out over and entire season...

I've been really annoyed by that in the past. If the CIA had the same screening procedures that CTU does we would all be dead.

What is so great about the Moles being found out so fast and so early in the game is that it means that the story is way way bigger then we think, as it usually is with 24 but becuase of the speed of it this year it is going to be much bigger.

on the run from johnny law... ain't no trip to cle
was anyone else really bugged by diane immediately being able to switch from calling him frank to calling him jack? she seemed to just pick that right up. also, no one (except audrey, whom i hate, but who actually had a good moment with jack last night) seems to be phased by him being alive. they all are just like, "good to see you, jack. here's a security clearance. you're automatically back at ctu again." that being said, all hail 24!

All I know is that we need less of the mushy Jack (with Audrey and Diane) and more of the ass kicking Jack! (The one that stabbed the guy in the neck)

Personally, I kinda dug how Audrey reached for Jack's belt subconsciously in that one hallway scene, then realized what she was doing and went back to work. Jack MUST be the man!

She MISSED Jack!

She KNOWS Jack!

Maybe it would be ok if it was someone else... Audrey just rubs me the wrong way. Obviously she must have been rubbing Jack the right way because she annoys the expletive out of me. And of course Jack is the man.

Didnt see this anywhere, but Senator McCain will have a 5-second, non-speaking cameo on the 1/30 episode. :)

TV Guide reports:

Senator John McCain's recent visit to the set of Fox's 24 — yep, he's a superfan — resulted in a non-speaking cameo for the politico. In the Feb. 6 episode, executive producer Howard Gordon tells USA Today, watch closely and you'll see McCain make "a little Alfred Hitchcock star turn" when he hands off a file folder to Audrey.

Whatever political ideology you follow, a sentator who appears in 24 as a CTU-flunky is a-ok in my book! Just make sure he doesn't wear a red shirt...
