The Cardinals have sold out their allotment of season tickets for the second straight year, team officials announced on Monday.

The team has set aside 3,000 tickets for each home game for fans to purchase. Those on the season-ticket waiting list will receive the first opportunity to buy those tickets. They can buy tickets for up to three games in a quantity equal to the number of seats they have on deposit.

Fans can join the waiting list by paying a $200 non-refundable deposit per seat. Remaining individual game tickets will go on sale July 21. For more ticket information, contact the team's ticket office at 602-379-0102.

Great news, but I wonder how long the "waiting list" is, if any. I got my name on the list in January and I purchased three additional tickets in May. If there is a list, it can't be very long.

Not Debbie Downer, but I'm asking how long the sellouts will last. I think they cleared out the waiting list.

I think this is the last year it sells out without winning. I thought all along, even when we were 1-8 and people said I was nuts, that this season would still sell out. I don't think the market will tolerate another losing record post-Super Bowl though.

another thing to think on with the waiting list is aside from traditional ticket turnover, they added more everygame seats behind the open endzone

with the SB this season, missing out on 2011 and going into the 3rd year of novelty - the cards will have to make some big strides to keep it sold out after this season

however, it seems a little pessimistic to skip an entire year

What's it take $$-wise to get on the waiting list?

Speaking of which, I'm selling the majority of my tickets this year- I'm in L.A. most weekends and I don't see that changing any time soon- 4 tickets in section 452. Browns and 49ers are already gone, the rest will hit Ebay as soon as I physically get the tickets in the mail.

PM me if anyone is interested.

I'm in St. Louis every day and I won't be selling the majority of my tickets!

Well, in that case I'll snatch up some extra tickets.

Oh, I I don't know, there's a lot of money floating around the Valley now. Every time I visit, the place looks nothing like the last time, and I see more and more very expensive cars (Mercedes, Hummers, Ferrari, etc.). There's plenty of people with the means to buy season tix, and the NFl is more popular than ever.

The other (and biggest, IMO) factor, we're not playing in 110+ heat in SDS. I think seats will sell at least for a few more years.

Bottom line in the 4 major sports today, there is no better value than football.

A D-back ticket for the season 82? games X a lot of bucks
A Suns ticket 33 games
Coyotes 40 some odd games

To see pro football all 10 games under $1000 with free parking. Now that we are inside on hot days, with comfortable seats and many other amenities, the team should sell for years to come. If we can start winning the waiting list will expand.

Maybe ticket sales are a bit like the stock market -- actual stats have little to do with it. Perception of where the team is going and how it will do next year is key.
