On radio now. Swears he has a top-notch source. Source texted, "Peyton to AZ. Signing Wed or Thurs." Gambo texted back, "he's signing here?" Source replied "yes, on conference call now."

An hour later, the Gambo talked to the source directly and he said only Bidwill could screw it up by not giving Peyton certain things (other players, etc.) Didn't mention money as a way to derail talks.

Later, Gambo heard from a second independent source inside the Cards that the meeting went really well and that Peyton wants to be here.

He's even heard we may offer a 4 year contract to help spread cap hits out longer to make the numbers work.

All these specifics lead to his tweets yesterday. Admitted to teasing the info while he was still gathering info.

Again, take it for what it is worth, but Gambo is pretty sure it is gonna happen based on the quality of his sources. Going out on a limb a bit more today than yesterday. Called his sources, "Rock solid NFL Guys". If cards are willing to go above and beyond, they can make it happen.

Gambo's a knucklehead, but hopefully this is the one nut that the blind squirrel inevitably finds.

There is no way this guy can know this stuff when Jurecki and Somers are totally in the dark about it. I DO NOT believe the guy pure and simple.

Gambo, the latrine queen is not a reliable inside source. :mulli:

If Gambo had any real sources he wouldn't have been moved to the B-team of a crapy radio station.

Otherwise it looks like new news (when it is old opinion). :)

He drops a bomb.

But near the end, he drops a weasels "If" comment that's very revealing.

Sound like he's really got nuthin'.

Well Gambo's source's timeline is suddenly syncing with what Clayton is tweeting...

By having visits with the Dolphins and Titans, Peyton Manning might not be ready to sign until Wednesday or Thursday.

For what it is worth. (Nuthin)

Whatever team Peyton decides to play for albeit Denver or Arizona, the decision has been made and Peyton is meeeting with Miami and Tennessee by request of his agent. One team is desperate for him (Miami) and one team is willing to give him a blank check (Tennessee), both represent perfect contract leverage for Peyton's agent to use. This is done by Friday, trust me.

I get that I am totally gullible by the whole situation... and for the record, in my heart, I just do not see Peyton signing here with everything that has gone down, this after being 95% sure :)D thanks Vic) that he would be signing here back on Sunday...

But I think Gambo does have a source, and I think it may be someone affiliated with Tom Condon... Just my opinion...

Lets hope he is right, we have until Saturday so even stretching this until Friday it ok..

I get that Manning wants to meet with everyone before making a decision but I just keep thinking it is for diplomacy rather than anything else...

For Miami, because he lives there and they want him zoo bad that it would be very offensive if he did not even listen to them, and Tenneessee where he does not want to do anything to create bad blood, so when Bud Adams comes out and says I want you, the least he could do is go through the motions and meet with them, so he could at least say he gave them a chance..

I still think it ultimately comes down to AZ or Den, I hope to hell and choose to believe the Cards are still the favorite, but in my heart I think Denver will end up with him..

By all accounts, the Miami pitch didn't do well. Schefter said it. Mort said it. There was a tweet that Manning didn't like their power structure.

With all this noise, I think it is a pretty safe assumption that Miami is out. I think they will let us know that when the put the full-court-press on Flynn later today.

is it just me or do Somers and Urban seem like Debbie Downers the majority of the time.. just my opinion, Jureki at least confirms stuff and specualtes, but the other two are by the book until everything is done and finished, before they comment or speculate on anyhitng..

everything is a long shot until it happens..

I don't think Miami is an option anymore for the same reasons it was spurned by Harbaugh and Fisher. Poor organizational infrastructure.

It'll be interesting to hear where he stands with Tennessee. He played college ball there, has weapons on offense and a solid defense. Only their owner is a complete jackass.

In the end, it sounds as if the final two are Denver and AZ.

this is where perception misses reality..

There Oline is somewhere between average to below average, their defense is average at best, and weapons for Manning.. uhhh.. they will need to bring in a #1 and #3 receiver..

plus they are in the same division as the Texans who are trending up like crazy and Colts who I am not sure he wants to pull a Brett Favre for Indy..

Compared to ours, they are world-beaters.

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports was on the radio yesteday --

his take, FWIW: Tennessee isn't a "real" option. Archie played with Munchak, the new Titans coach, and Cole believes that Peyton is simply doing Munchak a favor by meeting with the Titans so he doesnt get in trouble with Bud Adams. BTW: Cole described Adams as "loony".

Not true.

Kenny Britt has the makings of being a top-tier wideout in the NFL (unfortunately, his season was derailed by an injury) and Nate Washington, who is a red zone threat, was a 1000 yard receiver last season, with Hasselbeck and Locker as QBs. Damian Williams is a nice third option as well. If they didn't acquire a single wide receiver in the offseason, they would be just fine.

In addition, the Titans have Jared Cook, one of the more underrated tight ends in the league.

As for the division aspect, that remains to be seen. Speculation was that if Houston offered Peyton the position, he would take it without hesitation. Not sure how much credence I put into that.
