New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel has been hard at work rebuilding the roster for the 2025 season. That has included some major free agent signings and tough releases.
However, there are still three in-house Patriots free agents that remain unsigned: running back JaMycal Hasty, kicker Joey Slye and edge rusher Oshane Ximines.
Hasty played sparingly last season behind Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. The Patriots could be eyeing one of the many talented running backs in the 2025 NFL draft, which could keep Hasty on the outs in terms of a potential return to New England.
Slye was a decent veteran kicker for the team in 2024 when he went 26-of-33 on field goal kicks. John Parker Romo is currently the only kicker on the Patriots' roster. We'll see if that changes in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Ximines showed real promise last preseason before going down with a season-ending injury. Will he be a one-and-done player for the Patriots, or will the two sides link up for an extension at some point? The Patriots have already made multiple additions at linebacker in the offseason.
There is still plenty of time for each of these three veterans to find a home in the NFL, even if it isn't with the Patriots.
