I have a gut feeling that Bowles will continue as dc for 5 or 6 years, then when Arians retires, Bowles will take over.

“At the same time,” Keim said. “I’ve had numerous conversations with Todd and he’s made it clear to me and to the organization that he’s extremely happy here and would love to stay. . . .
“You know, if we come back and put together another good defense next year, that only strengthens his situation. He’s at a point in his career where he can be picky.
“That’s not to say that he wouldn’t take an opportunity that presented itself. But I think it would have to be a special opportunity.”

the flipside of the above is his stock may never be higher. We DO have tough choices to make on D...what if we can't resign Los, HB is likely not healthy all year and there's still the possibility that Washington ends up with another suspension. That's a lot of big question marks coming into next season and there's a very real possibility that all of them get answered with crap sandwhiches. You take away Dansby/HB and Washington for a stretch and this D ain't gonna look like it did this year and at that point, teams won't be bowling over to get to Bowles.

just a year ago, the guy's name was pretty much dog-doo-doo. same thing can happen a year later...to anyone in the league. If I'm him, I strike while the irons hot but it can cool off in the blink of an eye. Look at Gary Kubiak/Mike Shanahan...or, hell...even Wiz for that matter. People were praising him for somehow getting the 2011 Cardinals to 8-8 and a year later, he was the worst coach of all time.
