THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Since my first game in 1988 these are the 3 things the Cardinals have lacked and have talked about changing. Here we are 24 years later and here they are.

1. Our O Line. No pass protection

2. We Cant run the football

3. We Cant stop the run.

These things are STILL happening today. except for number 2. We actually CAN run the football with Beanie, yet our coach chooses not to use him.

Add in...
be able to run/defend a screen

Over the top safety help. I'm still waiting for a safety to come over and atleast just bat away this year...

#2 we can...but we might not be willing to run it enough.

#5 We cannot run a screen on offense or defend one on defense.

Oddly enough Beanie is averaging just under 20 carries a game. That would put him at 320 carries for the season. Edgerrin James territory. We could be looking at a 1200-1400 yard season from BW even if Pitt and Balt shut him down. Not having a 2nd back has forced CKW to run Wells more than the usual 8-10 times a game.

But of course something will happen and he'll miss 4-5 games.

The same since '88 (most years anyway)

1.Weak Defense
2.Poor Offensive Line
3.No killer instinct

Actually the line in 1998 was pretty good. So was the '88 line.

Every time we try to run a screen, I always think of Rick Flair climbing to the top rope. They both end up the same, in shambles.

LOL! Or Flair charging at a guy in the corner.

The quintessential opponent screen always seems to have their back in space with three blockers in front of him. Our screens have defenders in the process of beating our three blockers and the back in that mix as well.

We can stop the run...sporadically. We have games where we completely LOCK DOWN the other backfield (see NYG and Panthers already this year). Then we turn around and let RBs prance all over the field the next game or so.

It is incredibly frustrating.

Yes, yes, yes! It's the O-line...and always has been.

The only time (in somewhat recent history) the Cards have had a modicum of consistent success, is in the early to mid 70's...WHEN THEY HAD A GREAT O-LINE! When will someone/anyone in the Cards organization, get this fundamental football fact and...FIX THE O-LINE!

1. The o-line comprises of 5-6 people if the TE/FB is included. It only takes 1 guy to not do their job and mess it up. What happens if 4 guys hold their line but one guy lets his through? A sack, pressure or messed up play.

2. This season I really think we can run. We proved it. However we keep passing on 2nd and 3rd and 1. We keep abandoning the run throughout the game. I've seen some amazing college games where the team was down like 3 scores. What amazed me was 1st down, run, 2nd down, run, 3rd down, run, they even ran on 4th down! Eventually they won the game. Some teams can pass better than run, some teams can run better than pass. I know the coaches are trying to be more balanced but it is like have Levi play LT on one play and RT the next every other down.
A. If you want to develop the passing game and Kolb then pass pass pass and alter the o-line to pass pretection.
B. If you want to be in games and possibly win it then run run run since we run better than pass and put are big guys in the o-line.

Right now were aren't doing neither. The play calling just baffles me.

3. We can stop the run. That is when the correct personel are on with Dan and Carter as the nose tackles. However we pull them out for a pass rush. We all know how that worked out.
Our secondary is really weak. We have to help them out with a pass rush. But if the rush doesn't get there all hell breaks loose. Look our OLBs can't pass rush or cover. Take one out and put another lineman on the line. Even better take out another one and put a DB. Let's face it, we have the weakest 3-4 in the league. Our OLBs can't pass rush, our lineman can't stop the run.

I like this idea. Forget Porter Put Carter in for Calais and move CC out to DE. Acho could spell at DE. Eason and Holliday at DT.

Dockett,Williams,Carter,Campbell

Haggans,Lenon,Washington (I'd love to see if DWash operate like Dansby did when Karlos was on the outside.) Schofield and Walker and Bradley backups to Haggans and Lenon.

For the nickel they just take out Willilams for the extra DB.

All these years later, and Ric Flair still crosses your mind.....kinda scary.......

I have to admit though...I still occasionally have nightmares from a wrestling experience....
Modesto, Ca.........
Many,many years ago,............
Pat Patterson.....
Mr Fugi,.......

The nightmare comes from Pat Patterson locking Fugi's head between the twisted rope, and then ripping his trunks down to show the entire crowd his chubby Japanese piss pimple covered ass.........

That was the last time I ever asked my dad to pay extra for ringside seats....row 10 is good for me.......

Genius, now why don't the coaches think of that?
It has been obvious since last month.

I have no idea why we are playing with Porter, Dockett, Calais and Haggans front for a pass rush. Just in case to put some extra pressure we rush Marshall in a CB rush.
That leaves us with two LB to stop the run 1 for each side of the field.
two CBs on a island possibly to get burned, 1 FS to cover 100% of the deep field and a SS to freelance.

There is a reason why our defense is kinda loose.

Especially since that formation was getting gashed for big runs on 3rd and long last season. It works sometimes but it just leaves the middle of the field wide open and has allowed far too many big plays. I simply can't understand what the reasoning is behind it.

I think because our HC can't believe other teams would sometimes run on 3rd down unlike us. It makes no sense, isn't 3rd down a passing down? Well for us it is especially when its 3rd and very long right after a sack.

Our play calling is way too predictable.

The tolerance of top brass to accept losing. - This makes me question why i keep renewing my tickets. It seems they care LESS than I do.
Signing free agents past their prime.
Atrocious "tackling".
