If the Cards were one or two players away, you make that move. We aren't so we shouldn't.
The positive or exciting part for the season is that we do not know if we are or not. IF all draft picks works out and the FAs are playing at the level expected, this roster is probably set.

(I know that is not going to happen)

Just really hope Michael Wilson takes the step forward like fans and the organization is expecting.
That’s where the excitement ended for Arizona’s receivers. Michael Wilson struggled to earn separation en route to an Open Score of 43 in ESPN’s player tracking metrics. That ranked 85th out of 109 qualified receivers. He caught just under half of his contested targets and averaged a modest 1.36 yards per route run.
From a Fantasy site, but still. That last game and a half is carrying a lot of weight for him and K1 to a lesser degree. Hope it continues to get better.

So, any ideas if we are gonna spend this money?? Or on whom??
I had an idea..whispers and rumors from the ether...
Dallas has to sign Dak, CeeDee, and Parsons...but has nowhere near the needed flexibility... but Dak is needed, and Lamb keeps Dak effective... Micah Parsons might find himself the odd man out... which means Jerry will trade him rather than let him walk.
I would offer a 1, 2, and 3 in successive years.... then let them talk me into 2 firsts.. imagine how much better our young guys would be with Parsons on the field...
And we already know he is cool with kyler... maybe there was some recruiting over a chess match?

I dunno...but somebody may get him...and we can afford it

They would let CeeDee walk before parsons. They’ve already shown they’ll let high priced receivers leave/be traded.

Some of the cowboys fans I chat with feel the same way...albeit cautiously...they seem to think Lamb is hands down the best wr in the game... but most of them are also certain Dak is MVP as long as he has Lamb

They’ll all be on Dallas.

Brotha. It isn't getting spent. This team isn't spending. This is the norm until they show us something else.

It is unfortunate there weren't any NFL players available in FA that were good enough to use 35 mil in cap space on.

Still more excited about this season than I’ve been in a while, but yeah… sitting on 35 million bucks of cal space, in a weak NFC still sucks.

Years ago you would have never heard the end of this from me, but it sadly is what it is at this point.

Agree. But the flip side... if somehow we are at 10-2 come trade deadline and think we need a piece to strengthen a playoff run... we can afford to trade for anybody in the league.

Honestly though, I ain't upset with what they're doing.
Imo, the offense is pretty complete. Assuming JR works out and Paris can play LT in the nfl.

But the defense.. that has me interested... it's all question marks right now. How those questions are answered will determine our season and the path moving forward.

I'm thinking they will rank 15-18, and if they do then we should get a playoff berth...

Preseason rankings still have them 28-32... if that's correct we will struggle to sniff 9-8 ...but it gives us a clear path for next off season.

Fortunately there will be edge and interior dline options in the first two rounds next year... much more than 2024.. both those Ohio state guys could go top 25...

The NFCWest is back to being the toughest division in football I think.

I am also excited. It is more irritating than anything. I just don't like pushing money forward when we don't seem to want to sign big time FAs (which is a choice).

It's ok unless we put up another 4 or 5 win season. In that case it looks very dumb.

This is likely correct. I don't want them to spend to spend but if there is someone who can help they should.
That's just it. There really isn't anything out there that will help much...some old guys, but every snap you give them slows the development of our youth...and we got a lot of youth

Yep, which is why I said I don't want to see us spend to spend.
