Lol @ "After his second pick-6, with the 49ers obviously down by a bundle, the 49ers coaches were so afraid of what he might do next that they ran the ball 13 consecutive times (two of those were Kaepernick scrambles that may have had a pass option in them).

An $18M-a-year QB, not trusted to throw a downfield pass, with the team trailing by 21 points."
I don't get this part by their coaching staff. Glad they did it, but still curious why they gave up on him so easy. Sure he was having a bad day, but he is your starting QB and you have to ride him or put in the backup.

Frankly, I'm glad to see the incompetence of Jed York. He pushed out Harbaugh because York was losing power and let the 49ers implode.

He's a much younger Daniel Snyder.

You hear every coach in the league sing the tune about playing "the guy who gives us the best chance to win". So if you can't trust your QB, which is obvious by what Kawakami pointed out - WHY IS HE STILL IN THERE? I don't care if your backup is Blaine Freaking Gabbert, he's gotta come out, no? Tomsula & staff are in WAY over their heads. This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, kids. Think 2004, the year they went 2-14 under Dennis Erickson (right before he showed up at ASU!), with their only 2 wins both coming against.. wait for it.. the Cards.

I think they realized if they kept throwing he'd throw more picks and he might not recover from it,

He had no clue what our defense was doing yesterday, he was completely lost.

One of the best comments I read was after the 2nd pic 6, some dude says 'Palmer may never have to see the field again in the game' lol

The best part of this frankly is that Niners fans all knew they were in for rough year, and rightly so, before they won that first game. Then they were given a glimmer of hope, and nothing breeds disappointment more than when a glimmer of hope burns out.

LoL, I liked one that said "Palmer had time to sip some coffee while surveying the field"

Yes we saw a lot of this during the Ryan Vince Tobin list goes on years
Good to see one of rivals suffer through the losing pain
The 49ers just lost way to much in the off season to overcome
They have a few good peices but rebuilding mode takes a while

That's fricken awesome. He comes off with that smack, then we beat his beloved squad by a 40-burger.

I read a whole boatload of stuff like that last night in their gameday thread. It was quite entertaining. There were still quite a few fans drunk off the Week 1 Kool-Aid, who thought the debacle in Pittsburgh was an aberration. Wrong!

I like this thread title:

' Week 3 2015: Thoughts after rewatching the game... '

Now that's a die hard fan or a masochist.
