MESA! :thud:
Yeah but your fiance is probably telling you, "We can't get married that weekend! Home Game!"

We ARE missing one home game for the honeymoon, but it was virtually unavoidable, unless we waited to get married until after the season was over. I've waited 3 years...I'm done waiting :)

Congrats, AZ's Finest--you both look very happy!!

I disagree. Sing is a nightmare of a coach, and he has a team that thinks they are world beaters without the talent to back it up. When things come crashing down, Sing isn't the kind of coach to hold it together. This has the potential to get ugly, especially since the thread of that team seems to be thin in the first place with the Davis/Crabtree issue and Alex Smith simply being not very good.

I think it's pretty much blown as it should be.

Sing is more of a drill sergeant than a tactician. He's good at pushing them hard but scheming and fundamentals come difficult for him. I think handling adversity is too big of a challenge for him. Additionally, Alex Smith is part of the problem and not part of the solution. The kid just cant handle the system even when its tailored to his abilities while limiting touches for Gore, their best offensive weapon.

Structurally, they are a nightmare. I see the implosion and the possibility of going 0-3. If that happens, well, certain national media members should start updating their resumes.

I dont buy the demise of the Niners quite yet. First off they have a ton of talent on that team and talent wins ball games. As long as you have Gore and that LB corp you will stay in games.... Despite what Sing has/hasnt done.

I like the Niners to win this week actually. Should be a good game.

We'll know more after Sunday. After they get beat by the Saints, it will be very telling to see how the team and Sing react.

Yeah I agree.

I also have the Niners winning this week. They were embarassed at Seattle. They play much better at home. The Saints are beatable when they are on the road. The Saint defense really struggles on the road. The Niners will be ready for them on Monday night.

Didn't they have Gore and their linebackers last week when they were embarrassed by Seattle?

Singletary is losing the team, the fingerpointing has already begun. Their secondary looks awful and Alex Smith just isn't an NFL-caliber starter.

I'd agree with you except for one thing: The Saints have had 10 days off. I don't care how early in the season it is, that's a huge advantage. The Saints don't need to run the ball, and they have exceptional special teams.

I agree that the San Francisco 49ers are going to win some football games, but I don't think they're going to win this next one.

No really cool beans. Did you sneak away to watch Cards game on your honeymoon?

Actually its funny you ask that. So at first I played the whole "no way honey, the honey moon is for us" card. Then Sunday got closer and sI got antsy to watch the "Derek Anderson Era" begin and since I was on point the whole trip, I aknew I had to make something happen. I was going to watch it on my blackberry before realizing the Ritz in Kapalua had the Sunday Ticket in their bars and restaurants so I got a good idea to make both of us happy.

I set her up for a 10AM Mani/Pedi combo in the hotel spa(Hawaii is 6 hours behind EST) and went and watched the game with two old ladies who happened to be die hard Cardinal fans. I actually had to a pay a guy off to watch the Cards game though because he wanted to watch Seahawks/9ers and got to one of the 3 TVs before me lol

All in all it was a good honeymoon and an even better last day cuz of the win. :)

So that's not you in the picture?

That's funny :)

Don't think Alex Smith stands a chance against Gregg Williams' aggressive defense. He's due for another 2-3 INT's.

They gotta play mistake free to beat NO IMO..Brees will eat their mistakes alive.

They did and honestly 2-3 plays chnaged that game. SF was well on their way to smacking Seattle. I dont buy all the seahawk love quite yet.

Lets see....

Actually forgot about that, but it honestly doesnt change my mind. I think if you can't get up for this game after losing in week 1, something is truly wrong. Then I might buy that Sing is losing the team....

I think SF jumps on them early and hangs on. Gore should have a big night (and yes I know they held AP to 60 yards), but that was first game of year, at their place....and they still coudnt score much. Niners by 3

Also don't forget that they will be retiring #80 at half time. The fans will be all riled up for that.

What the hell took them so long? Geez...the guy's been retired for over 5 years. Should have been done at the first game after he hung up his cleats...
