A "W" on opening night would be awesome, but this team will take 3-4 weeks to start gelling. The crowd will be pumped & Walsh will coach from far above. No way we win this one guys!

man-- have our expectations been beaten down that far?

Is this the same 49er team the Cards beat twice last year and had a bottom five offense and defense?

Not that the Cards are a juggernaut, but lets not make the '07 49ers the 1989 version.

Blasphemy!

Coach Dub will have us roaring and ready to go, our vets hate the niners and will be ready to embarress them once again on national television.

I'm the ultimate Kool-aid drinker, but this one I have a very bad feeling about. In a God-less city like San Fran, Walsh was their GOD. They will be sky high & we will be a team in search of an identity. I still think we win at least 9 games this year, but we won't win this one. It'll take a few weeks before have it all together.

If the Cards lose this game, where do you find the 9 wins?

Dont forget that we swept them the year prior as well.

Meh, I'm amazed that Nolan squeezed 4 wins out of that team. I think that more than half the players that were on the 49ers that year aren't in the league anymore.

But The year before, we gave the niners their only 2 wins. I remember after the game 2 of the 9ers came over to our south endzone and started taunting us Cards fans. Ever since them I have HATED the 9ers, Not more than the Lambs though.

In order to counteract the 49'ers diabolical act of gamesmanship, the Cardinals were planning on wearing their throwback uniforms from the days of their last great Coach.

But the league turned down their request because leather helmets are no longer allowed.

LOL, Jeff didn't leave town. He's down in the basement locked in the same box where we used to keep "The Geek".

I don't think were too many 49ers happy with those two wins over the Cardinals.

What, they would rather have lost them and been happier at 0-16??? :doi:

Nope, the way that season went, those two wins were meaningless. It wasn't like OMG! we sweeped the Cardinals!

Beating the 49ers 4 times(rams did it six times in a row) in a row is one thing, but that's nothing like beating the Rams 17 times in a row.

If you are the Cardinals, winning one in a row against any team is a major accomplishment. So four in a row is very much like winning 17 in a row. :)
