Saw this last night with my wife. 2 Thumbs up. Adam Sandler was hilarious, together with a few whacko characters. The story was actually a little touching, had my wife crying. Some of the humor was a little raunchy, but overall a very good movie.

Yeah, I saw it too, and I agree with you...despite it probably being a lousy movie, the story was touching and I enjoyed it a heck of a lot more than I thought I would.

The more I think about, I'm backing off the "very good movie" remark. My wife and I had a great time and laughed our butts off, but I don't think I'd want to see it again. The brother on steriods, the he/she coworker, and the horny hawaian were all funny, but a bit much for me, and, frankly unnecessary for this to be a good movie. This movie could have been a classic in my opinion had those characters been toned down or eliminated.

I just saw this movie. It was pretty good. I didn't get all the Tommy Boy references, though (other than having Dan Aykroyd).

Best line of the movie: I prefer sausage to taco.

I liked how they didn't cheese out on the ending and kept her with her condition.

I kinda liked the brother on steriods. It took me a minute to realize he was the guy from Encino Man.. or better known, the Lord of the Rings movies.

The only particular character I didn't really like was the Hawaiin guy (Rob S)... got a little old after awhile. Although I did like the part where Drew beat the living crap out of him with her bat. lol!!

Great film to see with a wife, girlfriend, or hope-to-be-future-girlfriend. Really cute and romantic, but not sickening. The DVD has a lot of extras on it.
