The Cards have always fought for respect. Give pundit types in excuse (like Warner retiring and Matt taking over), that is a recipe for jumping off the bandwagon in a hurry. This organization won't get any respect until we have been competitive consistently.

One Brett Favre miracle and one dropped TD pass is the only difference between the whiners winning the west last year and the Cards. To over look them is foolhardy at best.

That said screw the whiners.

i like your last sentence!!! woulda' shoulda' coulda' is a silly game...what is....is and every team can say "if only" the best and most objective way to look at football is IMO the bankers in vegas put odds up that rarely are more than a touchdown...that's one score..from winning and losing a game...to me that says it all...yeah, they have been a bit more liberal over the past year or so, but it still revolves around a touchdown or less...

I see a lot more questions, in concerns of the Niners offense than the Cardinals.

On defense the Niners have a better front 8 but it is not a dominating advantage. The secondary, again, there are a lot of "IFs" in both secondaries.

A QB away from dominating this division ? I think not.

There is no doubt the Niner could win the division, but I think people are getting a little crazy thinking they can just run away with it.

I think that people are getting a little ahead of them selves as well...the Cards still have some pretty good players. Fitzgerald is Amazing, Wells is looking good, the 0-line is good at times and avg. at others. PAtrick is solid and so is breaston. The wiz is a great coach so Im sure he'll keep the cards competitive.

The defense has some holes but not really...Calais and Dockett are both solid players and Dockett plays with Heart. I also think that calais will have a better year than last.

Losing dansby hurt but the Cards stopped the hemmorhaging slightly by getting Porter. The rest of the LB's are decent but they leave a lot of room to improve.

The DBs arent as strong as they where during the S.B. run but there's enough talent there to keep all but the elite in check.

That really only leaves Lienart...who knows maybe he gets serious this year and proves he's worth the pick? It's very possible that he has a different mindset know that he knows he's starting. He could really buckle down and take his game to the next level...he has weapons and a decent O-line.

All in all I will expect stiff competition from the Cards as always!

The three annuals I've seen so far all pick the Niners to win the division; two of them have the Cards finishing third. I guess its the trendy thing to predict right now.

Minus One miracle TD catch by the Titans and we are NFC West champs even with that.

I think one thing that's funny is that we had a hard time beating them using Kurt Warner as the QB, ie that type of offense didn't work as well against them for whatever reason, yet his leaving is cited most often as the reason why they'll crush us this year.

They're on the rise, anything can happen but the real reason we have the upper hand still IMO isn't our QB but our coach.

They won't be facing the same team as last year, this at least should have a chance at shaking up the goofy number they have on us.

I've been thinking the same thing for quite awhile. Warner didn't exactly have his best days against the 49ers and the Cards still barely lost.

Leinart, Wells and Hightower are going to run all over them.

The fumbles vs the 49ers last season are going to work in our favor. Watch teams continue to try and strip the ball from Cardinals players instead of tackling and watch the Cards continue to rip off huge yards after contact.
Just watch the Green Bay playoff game for proof.
