Dude. I just watched this movie last week for the first time! How bizarre that you mention it. I'll be posting a new thread for it in the near future after I do my little research on it, but I'm pretty backlogged right now. Fun movie, but I've got one problem with it that I need to look into.

Don't get all the Sandra Bullock and The Blind Side hate. Awesome movie, great performance.

Not hate.... Her performance, which was really quite good, simply wasn't worthy of the win against those competitors. It was more like a, "well... she finally appeared in a really good film so I guess it's her turn" award. Kinda like a John Wayne Oscar for "True Grit."

BTW, if you want to see Bullock's character played better, see Julia Roberts in "Charlie Wilson's War." Same character, different circumstances, lesser performance by Bullock.
