Even Bickley has done a 180 on this now.
Without Kyler Murray, the Cardinals will field one of the worst teams in the NFL next season. And yet a happy, healthy Murray can help the Cardinals overcome most anything. Like him or not, he can make that much of a difference on a football field. He can make the Cardinals a playoff team in 2022 despite all the regression.
Not sure I agree with this. Yes, Kyler has immense physical skills, but after witnessing last year, I have little faith he will overcome adversity.
Last year was so bizarre. Colt freaking McCoy of all people helped the team win 2 out of 3 while Kyler was out. Including against two important division opponents.
The entire narrative of the majority of the media and us fans of course after the McCoy led wins and Kyler coming back was "this team played well even without their star QB, and will be damn hard to beat with him returning"
Instead, Kyler returns and the team implodes. Yes, Cards won his first game back against Chicago, but the offense was anemic much of that game. Fortunately the defense got a significant number of turnovers and very short fields for the offense.
After that they were a dumpster fire which included the embarrassment by Detroit. The only bright spot was Dallas.
It just seems the odds of a "happy" and "completely healthy" Kyler this season will be slim to none. Especially considering the difficult schedule.
