Truly. Neither Poole nor Kasper are going to be on the roster next August, and Gilmore will probably be a gunner for the remainder of his contract.

His hard work didn't get him a roster spot for most of last season, and many coaches bring their own "pet projects" with them (Parcells is infamous for doing this). Believe it all you will, but if Poole has a spot on the roster, this team is going to be weaker that it would be if a trune NFL-caliber player were.

I sincerely hope that the days of the "hard worker/little talents" filling our roster with 45% of the sports is over with the departure of Mac and his band of merry men.

Are you talking about depth chart wise or as starter opposite Boldin. For starter opposite Boldin I believe it will be a vet the Cards acquire this offseason and I think Kasper starts over Gilmore on the practice squad

In all honesty that could be said about half out lineup. It is hard to hate most of the players on the team because they are such hard workers and nice people...but they have no talent

Got to be Kasper over Gilmore. At least Kasper can catch and run. I guess knock was Mac's desire for him to play 5 positions. Seems dumb to me. Gilmore will never catch the ball. If he can't catch it by now, he's got hand/ eye problems. Bryan "OOPS" Gilmore is gone. There has got to be something behind the scenes , that I don't know about between Kasper and Mac. Anybody know what ?

Let's all agree never to speculate about the mysterious relationship between the Cards' ex-coaching staff and Kevin Kasper, ever again. The staff is gone, and Kasper soon will be, so it's the mootest of points, anyway.

My hope for Kasper is that he gets a last chance, and his first injury-free season, with some team that can use a KR and backup WR, and has the staff to coach him up. (Maybe New England, who tried to claim Kasper when the Broncos released him, but lost him to the Seahawks? I'll bet OC Charlie Weis and receivers coach Brian Daboll could teach him more than one position, given an entire training camp and preseason... )
