Oh, it's a mock.
I saw the title and thought you were looking for a roommate.
If you need one, pick a bonus baby, they'll make it through camp, which will guarentee that you get your rent on time.

How does drafting an OC when we have three starting-caliber OCs on the roster going to "address the OL concerns" when the real OL concern seems to be depth at the tackle position?

Clemens doesn't have the arm to run Denny's offense. He'll do well in a more horizontal, West Coast-scheme, but he doesn't have the gun to go over the top. I'd rather have Brodie Croyle.

His arm looked great at the combine- In fact he probably was the best looking QB there.

Kind of like the directv ads out now, "no one should have to live with cable tv"

Well, then, that one time you saw him should really settle all of your fears.

I've seen tape as well. Sorry I didn't make to all the Oregon games this year. When NFL defenses snap Croyle in two I'll remember this thread.

That's fine. Hopefully, they'll allow stools on the field once Clemens gets on so that he can see over the offensive line.

I have wanted the Cards to pick Croyle in the 2nd round all offseason

Croyle has a good arm, great accuracy. Mechanics and footwork are solid, and he does not make many mistakes.

I have said it all offseason........IMOP, Croyle will be a better QB then Cutler

I don't want Croyle in the second, I want him in the third.

And I don't really see why we're drafting a C this high when we have three of them on the roster that already have starting experience.

I dont like the kid but,

6-2 is to short?

Croyle is only 7/8 of and inch taller.

Average height of a 1st round QB 6-3.

6'1 5/8", according to ESPN.com. Croyle is 6'2 1/2". Scouts has this to say about Clemens:

Seems to have some trouble finding passing windows. Is inconsistent on the deep ball. Does not show great touch or timing on vertical routes.

As you've said, these little differences (like 5-10 lbs) in the NFL are pretty huge. I'm generally skeptical of Pac-10 QBs unless they put up obscene numbers and have all-world measureables. I don't really like Clemens that much, especially since he hasn't played since October 22 and it didn't seem like Oregon's offense missed a beat once they lost him.
