A straight up trade would be fair to both teams and we get the RB we need. MDJ showed great vision on the KO return against the Steelers. He shows the ability to break tackles and carry tacklers.

Too many people here think Q is worth more than he really is.

that's an interesting trade idea. I always thought Jax may be a trade partner and want their #1 and Reggie Nelson but that's not likely to happen. If i was the Cards,i'd try to squeeze a 3rd round pick out of them but it's a pretty even trade that fills needs for both teams. It makes sense so there's probably no chance of it happening :D.

I'd still try to get as many involved as i could to drive up the price. Who knows what you'll get offered when you get guys with egos like Dan Snyder,Bill Parcells, and Jerry Jones involved.

When I first started reading this thread, I thought this was a terrible trade. By the time I got to the end of it, it has grown on me. I would try and squeeze a pick out of them, possibly a third, but probably a fourth.

For laughs we should take a fifth, the last two fifth rounders have tunred out pretty good. I don't believe that J-ville would do the deal though as previously stated Fred Taylor is getting old, and there is no guarantee that their RB of choice would be there when they drafted.

You think they would want Boldin AND picks to do this?

I dont know. :D

On paper, this deal reminds me a lot of the Portis/Bailey deal from a few years ago, which was straight up.

MJD did have an assault charge dropped a while back, so I wonder how that'd factor in with the front office.

No chance something like this would happen with Jacksonville. They are likely the sheapest team in the league. They do their best to draft well, but when good players get expensive, they go somewhere else. Last year they got rid of the best player on their team and the centerpeice of their D. I dont see Jacksonville taking on Boldin's $$ demands.

That makes sense. And there are alot of good recievers coming out this year.

How much does Jones-Drew pull in, and isn't he going to be a FA? That would be one reason for them looking to move him, but probobly for picks is what they're looking for, just like us.

Trade him to Philly for their 21st and their 3rd. Then draft Moreno or Wells. We would be much better off in this scenerio.

Where is Russ Smith to weigh in on this?? Surely he would have something of value to say.

Imo, I think its a deal worth doing

I would do it so the Cardinals would have the market on players with hyphens in their names.

First trade scenario regarding Boldin which I like... But why would Jacksonville want to trade Jones-Drew? For that reason alone it doesn't make sense. But if the Cardinals could work out the details of a deal involving these two, Boldin and Jones-Drew I think it would be good.

OT: Who is the new HC in Jacksonville?

A 23 year old stud RB that is the strength of their team for a problem child, Rosenhaus client that hasn't stayed healthy the past two years? There's no way, especially with Jacksonville's history of bad luck with WR's that they're even remotely interested in a guy like Boldin. For Jones-Drew? When Taylor's turning 33?

They just gave Jerry Porter a 6 year/$30M contract and traded for Troy Williamson last year. I highly doubt a frugal team like the Jaguars is going to re-structure Boldin's contract and have even more money tied up in the WR position.
