Another note: no one except for me had the cheap seats you have to physically pick up in Tampa.....they all had the $800 seats which they were handed on site this morning...... They kind of all said...gee...I hope cardinals fans end up with our tickets...most seem to be selling on stubhub..one guy mentioned he was going to sell them to tickets unlimited?

That...is my report.

IMO, ALL of them should be the type to pick up on site. That would be a nice gesture by the Cardinals to try and ensure CARDS fans got the opportunity. If someone didn't want to do that, move to the next winner on the list.

Most fair way to do it, IMO...let the club seaters have the first crack.

Exactly...Make them pay for the tix in PHX...But they must be picked up in Tampa! ALL TICKETS! Non transferable, you MUST show ID and account information that matches.

I THINK...personally...that the Cardinals did not want to piss off the club level folks....many signed the 10 year contract (or whatever term) and there probably would been an uproar if they had to sign this contract and then the Cardinals put them thru a bunch of hoops...like making them pick up the tickets in Tampa. The 10 year contract...is looking like a good deal though...because I think..or some guy told me...they locked in the prices on their tickets..while mine have continued to go up every year.

Clarification: After I paid...they DID ask me who would be picking up the tickets. I said me...but I could have assigned them to someone (I asked if someone else could pick them up). Still a little hurdle for a scalper...but...if I had a prearranged sale....or if I wanted to sell them...they said I could call in by tomorrow at 5:00 and let them know who was going to pick them up. The ticket person was a little vague on this..BUT..it did appear I could have given them another person...which is not exactly what my letter said. But...I am not 100% confident in the answer I received.

heck....they told me: These are the seat numbers you have been assigned...but we are not guaranteeing these are your ACTUAL seats...so who the heck knows....although it is still a little hurdle for scalpers....

There in a 10 year lease...let them be in an uproar. What are the going to do...Leave??? Can't....they've got 7 more years to go before that. Besides that, they've already gotten Super Bowl tickets...LAST YEAR! Too bad that our team wasn't there....Oh well, luck of the draw. The offer when they signed their contract 3 years ago wasn't tickets to EVERY super bowl. It was tickets to the Super Bowl we were hosting. And to be honest, they made their money and THEN SOME last year. It's unfair that they were given automatic bids this year.

KidStallyn.....I suppose I was pointing out that in hindsight..the club level seats are perhaps not as expensive as it seems...a deal in which I did not partake in. All of them also received super bowl tickets last year...Giants vs. Patriots...which they scalped for a nice profit.....I did not win that lottery... The only other lottery I won was the Florida-Ohio State championship game...and I promptly sold those tickets..but that is another discussion.

Oh yea...for the person worried about their letter....I left mine at home...forgot it..and showed my ID.....so if you where chosen in the lottery..I do not think you actually are required to have the letter with you....or the ticket agent broke the rules...which I doubt. I just gave them my Drivers License which matches all information on my account...

Just go there, with your account number and get them. As long as you have an picture id that says who you are.....They're going to give you your tix brotha!

Honestly....I'm really starting to get ticked at this whole process. It just chaps my hyde at the number of LOYAL Cardinals fans who didn't get selected. I'm talking about people who have had season tix since the beginning, and have NEVER been selected for any Super Bowl. Yet, some yahoo, who joined the bandwagon this year or last year get automatic BCS bid because they layed down a 3 year contract for Club Seats.

A lot of these people NEVER had a single intention of going to the game in Tampa if they were drawn. Their only goal was to go out and make a buck in the name of a pi$$y economy that's got them down. Well, screw you to those that did that I say. Personally, if I couldn't attend, I would have either declined the offer so that another Cardinals fan could go in my place, or I would have sold the tickets at face value to the same individual.

I'm not saying that I'm holier then anyone else here, and I'm happy for those that got selected and are making the financial sacrifices to make the trip down to Tampa. I just think that the league needs to do something in the way of some sort of legal binding contract where they could bring lawsuit against those selling these tickets at outrageous prices. I, for one, would whole hardheartedly sign it, with NO RESERVATIONS!

I know this economy sux....I lost a business back in September and am dealing with the personal credit nightmare that goes along with that. And my 73 year old fathers still battling prostate cancer. It would have been nice to be able to have gone to Tampa with him and enjoy a Super Bowl watching your favorite team whoop up on another unsuspecting victim.. You just never know when the next chance is going to come around.

I'd post this on the cardinals message board, but I'll get in trouble since one of the moderators over there is SCALPING his tickets to the highest bidding DIEHARD Cardinals fan. Guess he figures WE DO THIS TOGETHER meant doing it out of somebody elses wallet!

I'm assuming that's Fiasco... who seems to sell tix and parking passes just about every week... :bang:

SOmething I forgot to mention....No one said anything about a parking pass...so I assume I do not get one....for the Super bowl. Anyone have any info on this?

Also....and this is my OPINION....the tickets are not exactly pre-assigned as they said........someone next to me..at the next window over...got tickets....right next to me! This was person was not in line near me - but we were being assigned our tickets at about the same time.... So...this was not random....in my opinion....

...

I have to disagree with you on some matters. I'm in the Club level at UoP and was in the equivalent (Loge level) at SDS for half of the time since getting season tickets starting in 1989. This is the first time that I've been fortunate enough to be chosen from the lottery for the right to purchase any ticket. No procedure can ever be fair - that's a term defined by one's perspective. I've never felt like I got cheated or left behind by not getting chosen. Nor should those folks feel guilty because they were chosen.

I've heard of "who is or is not worthy" to have this great opportunity. I personally don't feel (and I'm sure most here would agree) that anyone who gets the golden ticket is any different from those who didn't get drawn. The folks in line sure didn't look like "fat cats." Well except for maybe Joel. :)

By the way, those around me on line yesterday were fans from various seat locations. I heard about travel arrangements - not scalping.

...just my 2 cents.

Derm....you are probably correct...I moved to 40 yard line seats at UOP from the old LOGE at SDS.....better view and better price.... Maybe my sample of the 5 folks around me at the ticket office was not large enough to matter.

I was thinking all club seats got first priority...but maybe only the ones who signed the 10 year contracts or something......not sure how it works.

Just had a call from a guy who picked up his tickets at "The Big Spaceship" and he's going straight for the sale. His quote was "These are tough economic times, and I need to make a buck".

Where's that "Keep Walkin" sounder when you need it.

I do sell tickets. I always put them here first. I probably spent in excess of $10,000 this season coming to Cardinals games. I started selling all of my parking passes because I don't need them.

I try to sell my two preseason and 4 regular season game tickets.

Lost my job at Chrysler in Dec 07 and can't take a full time job because of government mandates on my school funding so I'm certainly not going to be made to feel like a "bad fan" because of it.

http://www.sbxliii.clickandpark.com/

Pass is $50.00
Service Fee is $10.00
2 Day Fed-Ex is $15.50

Total Cost: $75.50

For another $15, you can have them overnight it. On Monday, they start selling them via Will Call.

Consider, also, setting up a shuttle from your hotel. By the way, I'm staying in Orlando at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. If anyone needs a ride on Sunday, my car has room for two more, so PM me.

My coworker just showed me the 2 SB tickets he went and picked up. Man they look nice! He not going and is trying to sell them for big bucks.

They are lower level endzone six rows back. Pretty nice seats.
