According to David Aldridge - The Suns may shop James Jones around.

I've been calling Sarver cheap for awhile now and maybe he reads messageboards and this is his sick humor to give ME a heart attack... :)

Suns wouldn't be that stupid? If anyone needs to be Traded, it's Kurt Thomas... but even I don't think Sarver is this cheap?

If the Suns are looking to keep Raja Bell, plus both Diaw and Barbosa, money is going to be very tight. The salaries of the top seven players by themselves will be scraping against the luxury tax barrier.

House is gone after this year, and Brian Grant after another year--James Jones is the only lower-tier guy left making more than the minimum. The Suns might have to choose between keeping JR and keeping two of their draft picks--if that's the case, then shipping JR in a year or two makes a lot of sense.

IMO the only way the Suns trade JR right now would be for an immediate upgrade. They won't feel any real salary pressure for another year and a half, and they'll have plenty of opportunities to move JR this summer if they need to.

House will stay if he's willing to do a deal at or under $2 million a year. There is always a chance some team will offer him a much bigger contract, but I doubt it. Damon Jones and Stephen Hunter may prove to be cautionary tales about teams taking guys with one good year that are effected by the teams they played with.

House is the same guy who last summer was considered an afterthought even by the Suns. Everyone knew he could shoot and at least a few figured he'd do well on an up tempo Suns team. But he hasn't gotten any bigger, hasn't become much better on defense, and is still not a particularly good PG. GM's make mistakes, but this is not rocket science - House is much more valuable to the Suns than almost every other team.

I dont know what games you fans are watching this year, but Eddie House has proved to be responsible for more comebacks than any of our bench.
I would sign him long before MR.HEADDOWN dribble barbosa.

THis is a joke the way you guys are discounted the value of E.house

J.Jones so what if we are a little over the cap, if a player has that much value you pay the diff. My god NY is like 120million in payroll this season.

I think the quote below Chaplin's post says it all for me. We don't HAVE to do anything right now. Trading just for the sake of making a trade is not the way to go. If we're going to do that, get rid of JJax. I like our team chemistry right now, and I'd hate to see us mess that up.

The rumor seems to be coming out of Cleveland. Perhaps the fact that Jones went 4 of 8 for three against the Cavs on Jan 29th had an impact.

I also heard he's close to having a cure for cancer.

Sorry for the correction, but that was Anquan Boldin. It's a well established ASFN fact. :koolaid:
