I voted yes. It wasn't a no brainier though...I had to think about it. I think you have to do this deal because you get to keep Booker, Chriss, Miami picks, and next year's suns pick. To me that's golden.

The downside is we lose a starting PG in Bled playing the best ball of his career...but his contract is up in two seasons. We lose out on Jackson too, plus Warren and have to take on Noah's contract. However, all these things can be somewhat neutralized by retaining all our draft picks. We could also use this as an attempt to rehabilitate Knight by making him PG as well as getting Ulis more experience.

Ive been sayinf this about Bknight. He is really the dumbest guy outside of Booker the Suns could trade. I say that because they would be selling low big time. Before Bledsoe was named the starter, an arguement could be made him and Knight were neck and neck. The man can hoop but was in a bad unfitting spot coming off the bench. The smarter thing by far is to sell high on Bledsoe and get Knight some major PT this year to increase his value again. Who knows, he could even be a sufficient answer as the starting PG with the young core.

I don't like the idea of including Chriss. Porzingis would make Bender even less valuable than he already is, so basically you're giving up both Chriss and Bender. Having said that, it would be nice to be able to keep Warren.

Yeah I don't buy this. If bender ends up being what he was billed as - an athletic, good shooting, facilitator - that means he's dynamic. You can find space for two such guys on the floor at once. In fact, that's dynamite. They could switch on D with zero impact.

I'm down for Chriss, #4 and Bledsoe as long as we don't have to take on Noah.

Don't know how good Bender will be but as someone said he's flexible. Starting next year with Ulis, Booker, Warren, Porzingis (is he a C or PF) and Chandler/A1 (assuming Len is too expensive) is fine. Knight should get DNP all year. Starting PG is Ulis' spot to loose.

Some of you guys are extremely undervaluing Bledsoe. IMO he has mid to late lotto pic value. No trade for Porzingis should include both Chriss and Bledsoe. Bender and #4 for Porzingis and Noah is a fair deal for both sides. If the Knicks don't include Noah I would consider adding Bledsoe or a future pick to sweeten the pot. But Bledsoe has significant value, and if by chance we keep our pick and take Fox or Smith I would imagine a top 15 pick will be had for EBled.

I think it would be Bledsoe, Chriss and #4 for Porzingis. If we take back Noah, we also get the #8 pick (and maybe we throw in the #32 pick).

I would much prefer to part with Bender than Chriss, just because I think Chriss fits better with Porzingis and Booker. It just goes to show what teams around the league are thinking about Chriss right now.

If we did this. Ulis would get a shot at full-time pg, but we would probably have to pick up a pg in free agency. BK would actually get a shot again to resurrect his career.

If Porzingis was in this draft, he would be the unanimous #1 pick (I think).

I feel like if we got the 8th pick in that scenario, we might look at Dennis Smith to be our PG.

And that's why that trade would be a terrific trade.

Bledsoe
Chriss
#4
#32

For

Porzingas
#8 (smith)
Taking Noah's contract off their hands

Dennis smith, Ulis
Booker, Knight
Warren, Djones
Porzingas, Bender
Chandler, Len/Big Sauce

This is a pretty nice young nucleus. If bender and smith developed the squad would by dynamite!

Not sure Dennis Smith gets the nod before Ulis, at least not from day one. Don't want to let Knight mess with the harmony we've had since Bledsoe took the season off. Also not sure the trade works... We will see!

I just don't see the Knicks giving up the 8th as well in a Porzingis trade. Would love it, but can't see it happening.
Maybe not. It depends on how badly they want to clear cap space. There are quite a few decent pg's in free agency. Lowry might be a nice combo with Booker and Ulis. Maybe too old.

What better young player do we have a realistic shot at? The only option of late has been Cousins, and we all know his warts.

What's the point of saving up all these assets and picks if you're not going to jump on the rare opportunity when a stud becomes available? This kid is 21!

Like many others, I'd offer anything but Booker/Chriss, and in the right circumstances would consider giving up Chriss as well.

Not feeling very confident in McDs ability to land a big fish. He's def not a Colangelo. Were going to have to blow them away for them to bite.

There are five new age bigs with unbelievable potential (6 if you count Greek Freak, who is in a class of his own imho and is not really a "big" even though he is huge).

In no particular order:

1. KAT
2. Unibrow
3. Embiid
4. Porzingis
5. Jokic

Those six players have unbelievable value when you think about when Golden State might start slowing down. If we can get one, we need to do it.

But don't trade Booker. Because Booker.

The Knicks are asking way too much for Porzingis. They are asking Boston for the #3, Jaylen Brown, Jae Crowder and the 2018 Brooklyn pick they are owed. Yikes.

Yeah if they are going to get stupid about it then they can keep him. If we can get Jackson that would be good too.

We still have Bender...let's see if he improves in the offseason.

That's just absurd. Ainge will tell them to pound sand.

Does Phil think he can go back to the New York faithful and say, "hey we tried but no one wanted to deal with us" while his star remains disgruntled? And does he think ANYONE is going to side with him as they continue to suck?

Phil is a great coach when he has the best player(s) on the planet butbues an idiot as a gm

That's insane, and if true. I have my fingers crossed the Celtics take Tatum and Jackson falls in our lap. He'll be a great piece to the core of this young squad.

that Knick offer to Boston is ludicrous (just thought the word insane was getting repetitive).
