I would do it if the return involved the #8 pick. IMO that is too much to give up while also taking on Noah's contract.

No way was Porzingis on the table for a straight swap for the #4 pick. Philly, LA, and Boston would've gladly given up their picks before #4 for Porzingis.

It was reported that NY wanted Booker. If Booker was off the table, they would've wanted much more than the #4.

Totally agree. Sidery is just flat wrong. They wanted Booker and #4 for Zinger I think.

Porzingis should have been straight traded for Anthony Davis.

I sort of agree......but it depends on how Porzingis rehab was coming along. I think I would have asked for another or two, along with Porzingis. I’m no gm though.

Agree. Anthony Davis was clearly more than Porzingis so it would have taken more.

Personally I go with AD because he's more durable.

MG I hope we keep Josh.

The Knicks would have loved to trade a nickel for a quarter but I'm not so sure the Pelicans would have liked it. Porzingis has been an above average player with the hint of greatness in his future, Davis is already great and still quite young. Throw in the injury risk for a player of KP's height and frame and the value gap grows even greater.
